Roaring Moon (Japanese: トドロクツキ, Hepburn: Todorokutsuki) (ROAR-ing moon[1]) is a Dragon/Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
Biology
Physiology
Roaring Moon is a Pokémon that resembles Salamence. It is a large dragon with short stubby legs and a long tail. It's arms are long, ending in three massive claws. It's head is armored and it's wings are large and curl up into a moon shape not too dissimilar from Lunala though there is absolutely no relation. It's main body is primarily blue, with its wings taking on a red color with blue and black accents. It also has some yellow detailing on it's belly and on the area around it's torso on the wings.
Behavior
It is believed to have a much more savage nature than even Salamence. As a result, humans must avoid contact should one encounter Roaring Moon.
Natural abilities
Roaring Moon can only have the ability Protosynthesis, which will boost its most proficient stat in harsh sunlight or if it's holding a Booster Energy.
Evolution
Roaring Moon does not evolve.

Trivia
- Roaring Moon can be considered the counterpart of Iron Valiant:
- They are the only non-Legendary Paradox Pokémon with a base stat total of 590 rather than 570.
- They are both the highest-leveled and the only Pokémon on their team with the held item Booster Energy used by Professor Sada/Professor Turo in the first battle against them.
- Both are based on a Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
- Both are separated from the other Paradox Pokémon in Paldea Pokédex numbering.
- Both appear in an edition of "Occulture" in the Poco Path Lighthouse Lab instead of in the Naranja/Uva Academy entrance hall. The Occulture Magazine also mentions a "phenomenon from other parts of the world." This 'phenomenon' is clearly Mega Evolution.
Etymology
Both Roaring Moon's English and Japanese names are literally translated to roaring moon.
Origin
Similar to Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon is based on Mega Evolution (more specifically, Mega Salamence). Its overall body design may also draw inspiration from dragons of European mythology. Its feathers are similar to feathered dinosaurs while its wing shape is similar to a crescent moon.
