Venezuela

Venezuela is a Tier IV nation located in South America . It is the 6th biggest nation in South America and borders Colombia, Guyana, and Brazil. Not many players choose Venezuela, as much stronger nations neighbor it (in this case, Colombia and Brazil). However, due to its plentiful Oil reserves and high amounts of square cities, Venezuela is capable of producing large amounts of tanks, giving it a fair chance against its neighbors. Its Oil also makes it a target for colonization.

Base Statistics

Economy

The starting net economy for Venezuela is around $888,240 million dollars, which becomes $988,240 if you disband its 90,000 troop home guard. $872,970 come from taxes, while the rest comes from resources.

Resources

Venezuela famously produces a massive amount of Oil, which is highly useful for military machinery. This can be further used to your advantage by buildings mines in the cities that produce Oil, doubling its resource output. Venezuela also produces 1 unit of Aluminum which is a required resource for aircraft parts, but not enough to make aircraft manufactories. if you want more resources, Invade Colombia. To get more resources as Venezuela, you might need to colonize different continents to earn different types of resources.

Geography

Terrain

The terrain of Venezuela is mostly Hilly, with some flat and Semi-Mountainous land in the north. They have lowlands and highlands. In-game, this is shown as Hilly and Semi-Mountainous terrain. This allows for easier defense against enemies, compared to lands of a country that is all flat.

Biome

Venezuela's current biomes are only made of Jungle, which makes defending from colonizers a little easier, due to the fact that important parts of Venezuela are near its northern coast.

Borders

Venezuela borders Brazil, Colombia, and Guyana.

Cities

Venezuela has 47 cities, the capital, Caracas, is the biggest city. This allows them to reach a rank of 32 as a minor power. The most financially important cities are the Square cities that Venezuela possesses.

Formables

Venezuela only has three formables, the Federation of the Andes, Patria Grande and the United States of South America.

Strategy

Starting Moves

To start off, build 3 electronic factories at the start of the game. Buy 7 Gold and 7 Copper, and justify, declare war, and conquer Curacao and Aruba with your home guard for a short-term money boost to build up your industry. After your 3 electronic factories are finished, sell 44 Electronics to any rich AI nation. Then, buy 4 Iron, 1 Titanium, and 3 Tungsten to supply your steel and motor factories, enabling you to produce tanks. To improve your stability, buy 4 phosphates for your fertilizer factory, which produces Fertilizer to aid in upkeeping your civilian factory.

First Expansions

Note: For whatever land unit you use, it is recommended to specialize them for the Jungle.

If Colombia is AI

This is where the expansion begins. Justify on Colombia and Guyana. Make At least 2k tanks, and sepcialize them for the Jungle to Invade Colombia, and use your home guard to invade Guyana via AI Luring. Then, declare war on Colombia. Form a line of tanks and auto-capture Colombia. You may need to send reinforcements of tanks to capture Bogota. While your tanks are invading Colombia. Use your 90k home guard to invade Guyana. Change your ideology to socialism and sell 20 more Electronics to AI nations. After that make a aircraft factory.

If Colombia is a Player

If Colombia is a player, attempt to ally them. If they refuse the alliance, they will likely invade you, so build aircraft factories. If Colombia declares war on you before your aircraft factories are finished, take a defensive position unless they're not using tanks, or wait for your aircraft factories to be finished and then make a attacker to damage Colombia's army. and maybe build a transport aircraft as well. After Colombia's army is heavily damaged, use your 2K tanks to Wipe out the rest of his army (Don't try fighting Colombian units that are entrenched in the Jungle biome). After the rest of his army are wiped out, form a line, then auto-capture. Make a couple of tanks to capture Bogota and switch to socialism, then sell 20 more Electronics to AIs. After you annexed Colombia, justify and declare war on Guyana for more extra cash to build civilian factories and fertilizer factories.

Further Expansion South American Expansion

If Brazil is AI

This will go down to unifying South America . Justify on Ecuador and Suriname, then line up tanks on the border with Ecuador and Suriname. After the justification finishes, invade both Ecuador and Suriname. Auto-capture Ecuador and Suriname. after they both collapse, annex them. Instead of justifying on Peru and Bolivia, justify on Uruguay and Argentina. It will be useful as a stepping-stone to invade Brazil. If Argentina is a player, it is recommended to have a navy, and if you have a strong economy, you can get a aircraft carrier to make it a little easier, but if they don't have much experience, try capital sniping Argentina if it's a player, and then after you get Buenos Aires, hold it until Argentina leaves or simply drains its MP. After either event is complete, simply auto-capture Argentina. If Argentina is AI, an aircraft carrier will be obsolete, and you can simply conquer it via AI Luring and auto-capture.

If Brazil is a Player

If Brazil is a slow conqueror, seize Argentina immediately using the above strategies. It is better to declare war on Brazil soon after to catch him off guard. If you had previously made an aircraft carrier, move it to near the densely populated southern regions of Brazil to deal heavy casualties to troops there (if Brazil moved all of its troops to your border for some reason, just move your carrier to either the Uruguayan coast or yours to prevent a capital snipe). Training your tanks for Jungle specialization is recommended to deal with the Amazon. If he forms a line along the border, create artillery and move ships such as destroyers there, which should lower down his army's strength. Try launching an attack in Uruguay/eastern Argentina to seize a lot of Brazil's population, which should hopefully increase its war exhaustion and stability, and from then on, just auto-capture (using stacks of 400 tanks instead of 200 is recommended for large cities or for dealing with any troop spam.). Then, after the war is over, use your new-found immense power to conquer the rest of the continent.
