Zambia

Zambia is a Tier III nation located in Africa. It is known for its rich Copper reserves.

Background

Zambia, officially the Republic of Zambia, is a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central, Southern and East Africa. Its neighbours are the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the north-east, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, and Angola to the west. The capital city is Lusaka, located in the south-central part of Zambia. The population is concentrated mainly around Lusaka in the south and the Copperbelt Province to the northwest, the core economic hubs of the country.

Zambia contains abundant natural resources, including minerals, wildlife, forestry, freshwater and arable land. In 2010, the World Bank named Zambia one of the world's fastest economically reformed countries. The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is headquartered in Lusaka.

Geography

Terrain

Zambia's terrain is completely flat.

Formables

Zambia can form the African Union, though it is extremely rare seeing a Zambia play form it.

Threats

Zambia's main threats are the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, and rarely the UK which doesn't necessarily need Zambia to form the British Empire however may still be conquered due to the fact it was a British colony.

Strategy

Playing as Zambia is rather hard due to its unfavorable position in Africa. As such, you will need a good economy and a large amount of manpower. At the start of the game, if South Africa is not a player, invade Zimbabwe. Its rich Gold reserves allow you to make electronics factories (you have a lot of Copper). After that, Invade Botswana. Remember to trade iron, Titanium, and tungsten. Build 2 steel factories and 1 motor parts factory. Conquer Mozambique and if you have enough manpower (preferably around 400,000), justify on South Africa (ONLY if they are not a player). Make some tanks and buy oil from other nations. (About 1,600 tanks). Declare war on South Africa now. Merge your tanks into 1 group and invade 1 city of South Africa. After you lure the South Africa AI home guard and destroy it, make a couple more tanks and split them all into groups of 200 tanks each. Auto-capture South Africa, it should be a piece of cake. After that, you have conquered it! Invade Madagascar for its Titanium, and Namibia for phosphate. With those nations conquered, go attack Angola with your tanks and try an invasion of the DRC.
