Background

Iraq is a country located in the Middle East, bordered by Iran to the east, Kuwait to the southeast, Saudi Arabia to the south, Jordan to the southwest, Syria to the west, and Turkey to the north. Its capital and largest city is Baghdad. Iraq has a rich history dating back to ancient Mesopotamia, often referred to as the cradle of civilization. It was the birthplace of some of the earliest known civilizations, including the Sumerians, Babylonians, and Assyrians. Throughout its history, Iraq has been influenced by various empires, including the Persians, Greeks, Romans, and Islamic caliphates. In the modern era, Iraq gained independence from British colonial rule in 1932. The country experienced political instability and a series of coups in the mid-20th century, leading to the rise of Saddam Hussein, who became the president of Iraq in 1979. Saddam Hussein's regime was characterized by authoritarian rule, human rights abuses, and conflicts, including the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988) and the Gulf War (1990-1991). In 2003, a U.S.-led coalition invaded Iraq, resulting in the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and the subsequent occupation of the country. The war and its aftermath led to significant challenges for Iraq, including sectarian violence, insurgency, and the rise of extremist groups such as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Iraq is known for its diverse ethnic and religious composition, with Arab Muslims comprising the majority of the population. There are also significant Kurdish, Turkmen, and Assyrian populations, among others. The country is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the ancient cities of Babylon and Nineveh, as well as religious sites for Muslims, Christians, and other faiths. |

Strategy
Expansion
The first thing you should be worrying about is Turkey, they will almost always be attempting to form the
Ottoman Empire. Attempt to secure an alliance if possible. It is recommended to use the Static Lines doctrine and try to get to Stalwart Defense in order to protect from the threat of multiple stronger nations surrounding you. You should build 2-3 electronics factories, buy the needed resources and justify on and annex
Syria (hopefully before Turkey does) and
Kuwait. You should be able to finish Kuwait quickly and use their treasury to create civilian factories and start to create tanks. Once you have annexed
Syria focus on annexing the following:
Lebanon,
Israel and
Jordan.
Egypt will be a threat here so you have to be swift with it. Once you have annexed it you should annex
Kuwait and mass a military on the Iraqi - Iranian border. Once you have around 1.5 million Infantry you should begin the invasion, instead of just taking cities you should kill off their armies and then mass invade. Once you have a foothold turn your attention to
Saudi Arabia, annexing it will at this point be easy.
Once you have annexed Saudi Arabia you should turn onto
Egypt. At this point they should have Northern Africa
under their control, so it will be hard taking
Egypt, but if you play your cards right you will easily take it.
Defending
Defending your Nation will be hard at first due to the lack of Terrain advantage and lack of Cities, but as you expand you quickly get up to speed and able to defend the region very quickly.
Threats
Some of these threats will most likely apply to you in most servers, so be wary.
Turkey trying to form the
Ottoman Empire.
Iran trying to form the
Persian Empire.
Saudi Arabia expanding to the North.
Egypt expanding to the east.
Greece trying to form the

- Any Arab or Islamic nation expanding or attempting to form the
