Nordeste is a releasable in South America and releases from
Brazil. It was added on 10/14/22 along with a few other South American releasables. It is the north-eastern region of Brazil. It borders
Amazonia and
Espirito Santo if they are released and Brazil. Its most populous city is Recife.
Background
The Northeast Region of Brazil (Portuguese: Região Nordeste do Brasil) is one of the five official and political regions of the country according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. Of Brazil's twenty-six states, it comprises nine: Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, and Sergipe.

Chiefly known as Nordeste ("Northeast") in Brazil, this region was the first to be colonized by the Portuguese and other European peoples, playing a crucial role in the country's history. Nordeste's dialects and rich culture, including its folklore, cuisines, music and literature, became the most easily distinguishable across the country. To this day, Nordeste is known for its history and culture, as well as for its natural environment and its hot weather. Nordeste stretches from the Atlantic seaboard in the northeast and southeast, northwest and west to the Amazon Basin and south through the Espinhaço highlands in southern Bahia. It encloses the São Francisco River and drainage basin, which were instrumental in the exploration, settlement and economic development of the region. The region lies entirely within the earth's tropical zone and encompasses Caatinga, Atlantic Forest and part of the Cerrado ecoregions. The climate is hot and semi-arid, varying from xeric in Caatinga, to mesic in Cerrado and hydric in the Atlantic Forest. The Northeast Region represents 18% of Brazilian territory, has a population of 53.6 million people, 28% of the total population of the country, and contributes 13.4% (2011) of Brazil's GDP. Nearly three quarters of the population live in urban areas clustered along the Atlantic coast[citation needed] and about 15 million people live in the hinterland. It is an impoverished region: 43.5% of the population lives in poverty, defined as less than $2/day. Each of the states' capitals are also its largest cities, and they include Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza and São Luís, all of which are coastal cities with a population above one million. Nordeste has nine international airports, and the region has the second largest number of passengers (roughly 20%) in Brazil. |
However, the only existing separatist movement in the real life Northeast is Nordeste Independente, and it doesn't include the state of Bahia or Maranhão, as they are culturally and economically different from the rest of the region.
That is not the only inaccuracy in the in-game releasable though, as the current RON flag for Nordeste is also outdated, as it is the flag of the first organization of the movement, the Group of Studies on the Independent Northeast (Gesni), which transformed into Nordeste Independente in the 90s, changing its flag.

Uruguay make sure to put your entire troops on the border with
Uruguay, once the Justification is done Declare war and put all your troops to Auto-Capture, now you can just sit and wait until
Uruguay collapsed.

Nordeste Plan
Build 1 Steel Manufactory, Motor Factories, Electronic Factories, Fertilizer Factories, and Civilian Factories on your Square cities to support your growing economy. Export Electronics and
Consumer Goodsto Ai and Player countries to generate revenue so you can further develop your country. Focus on research to get benefits, Research Tax Reform 1-2, Infantry Defence 1 to 2, Enact Improve Infrastructures, Mass Construction Act, and Public Service Act to Maximize Tax/Resource Output, Create more factories mainly
Consumer Goods,
Electronics, and
Steel, Get Static Lines Doctrine, and Defence Focused General (Create a Military Group before getting a general). Adopt the Fortification Act to increase Resistance and avoid aligning with any 'ideology to benefit from the Neutrality Act's resistance and money boost. In the late game, prioritize political and resistance research, and fortify cities, especially those in bad terrain, to create a Switzerland 2.0 Defence.
- Make sure you create atleast 1 Airport so you could create aircrafts, if so buy
Aircraft Parts from a nation that has one.
- Make sure to have almost 250k Trained Infantry acting as your Home Guard to protect your country as you develop.
- Create 1 Unit of Artillery and Anti Aircraft on your capital and Square cities.
- Make atleast 3 Attacker, 2 Bomber and Fighter.
- Create a Naval Shipyard on Recife.
- Make sure to always have Stable supply of
Steel as it is required by the Fortification Act and Mass Construction Act.
War Plan Green (Only Applies if
Brazil is a player and decides to justify war on
Nordeste
Oh No! Brazil justified what do I do?, Do not Worry just Enact Elastic Defence Doctrine Begin Mobilizing Infantry and Tanks to reinforce your defence considering you have by now Alot of resistance bonus
Brazil will have a hard time invading you and instead will suffer heavy attrition losses use your Bomber and Attacker on invading Brazilian troops to Inflict as many Losses to damage
Brazil Stability so War Exhaustion can rise very fast.
- War Plan Dark Green (Only Applies if
Brazil Player is Experienced)
- Scorch every town near the Brazilian border to delay advance.
- Create 1 Battleship, 3 Destroyer, 2 Submarine.
- Create Forts on cities near your capital and square cities.
- Instead of Elastic Defence Enact Guerrilla Warfare as your doctrine.
- Wait until Brazil's Invading Forces are depleted and begin Counter offensives using your Infantry.
Threats
Brazil may plan to reconquer Nordeste. This is a likely possibility unless Nordeste negotiates peace with them.
- Countries expanding into South America see Nordeste as an easy way to get a foothold in the continent since it is farther North and East.
- Other releasables nearby may hold a campaign to reunite the broken
Brazil or to expand. This can make for some fun gameplay.
- (Uncommon)
Portugal Invading you as
Nordeste and all of
Brazil is needed to form the
Portuguese Empire.
