Background
Upper Egypt (named Upper Egypt because of the elevation of its lands above sea level compared to Lower Egypt ), is a region that represents the south of Egypt or the upper part of the Nile River lands in Egypt. This region extends from the Atfih Center in southern Giza in the north to Aswan in the south and to the border with Sudan in the east along the Red Sea, and represents the southern part of the map of Egypt . In the Arabic language, Upper Egypt is the elevated part of the land, and from it the name Upper Egypt is derived. The inhabitants of this region are called Sa'aida.
