Balkaria, also known as the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, is a federal subject of Russia located in the North Caucasus region. It is situated in the southwestern part of the country and shares borders with several other republics, including Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, and Georgia.
Balkaria has a diverse population, with the two major ethnic groups being the Kabardians and the Balkars. The region has a rich history and has been inhabited for thousands of years. Over the centuries, it has been influenced by various civilizations and empires, including the Mongols, the Ottoman Empire, and the Russian Empire.
