Romagna is a releasable from Italy. It was added on 11/08/22 as a part of the Europe Rework Update and is one of the weaker Italian releasables.
Background
Romagna (Romagnol: Rumâgna) is an Italian historical region that approximately corresponds to the south-eastern portion of present-day Emilia-Romagna, North Italy. Traditionally, it is limited by the Apennines to the south-west, the Adriatic to the east, and the rivers Reno and Sillaro to the north and west. The region's major cities include Cesena, Faenza, Forlì, Imola, Ravenna, Rimini and City of San Marino (San Marino is a landlocked state inside the Romagna historical region). The region has been recently formally expanded with the transfer from the Marche region of nine comuni where the Romagnol language is spoken (Casteldelci, Maiolo, Novafeltria, Pennabilli, San Leo, Sant'Agata Feltria, Talamello, Montecopiolo, Sassofeltrio).
Base Statistics
Economy
If released at the start of a game, Romagna starts with a base income of $135,228. None of Romagna's cities have any buildings or ports. In terms of infrastructure, every starting city has tier 3 infrastructure (which is rare for a releasable.) Additionally, Romagna's tax money is the fourth lowest generated for any Italian releasable (assuming no city upgrades and change to tax policies), making the economy subpar at first.

Cities
Romagna only has three cities, its largest city, "Bologna", has a population of 488,306 people and gains 166 manpower and $119,299 in tax. Its smallest city, "Ferrara", has a population of 131,018 people and gains 11 manpower and $7,862 in tax. If released as quick as possible, the population of Romagna will be around 775,000.
Bordering Nations
If only released by itself, Romagna only borders Italy while being nearby
San Marino. If released alongside all other Italian releasables, it borders
Italy,
Tuscany,
Emilia, and
Venetia.

Strategies
Note these strategies assume that there are no players of countries mentioned in their description.
There is one primary strategy for Romagna:
- Conquer the Balkans: First, start researching the research and naval technology branches of the technology tree and justify war on Trieste. Use your manpower on infantry (40-50k troops), but make sure to save the leftovers for navy, Then, attack and annex Trieste to gain a port. Then, build some basic ships or, spend newly gained money on building a shipyard. After full recovery of your military, justify on
Bosnia and Herzegovina, and
Croatia, and wait for your first ship to be finished. Then, declare war on Bosnia, using your ships to inflict heavy damage to their troops, allowing you to breeze right through them. Do the same with Croatia. Start to research the infantry branch. Boom! Now you have one of the better militaries and economies in Europe!
This strategy gains multiple threats for Romagna.
