Geography
Terrain
Alsace's terrain is flat.
Borders
Alsace borders Germany to the east and north,
France to the west, and
Switzerland to the south.
Cities
Alsace has 2 cities - Strasbourg and Mulhouse. They make up a population of about 655,604.
Threats
France wanting to reintegrate you.
Germany or
Switzerland expanding.
Strategy
Playing as Alsace is extremely difficult, giving the fact that it is squished between 2 European powerhouses - Germany and
France. When playing as Alsace, you first job should be attempting to ally
France, or preferably
Germany. If they decline your alliance request, you probably won't survive.
Allied with Germany or France
Let's say that you have managed to ally with Germany or
France. Build an electronics factory in Mulhouse, and while you are waiting, justify war on
Switzerland. If they are a player, then justify on
Luxembourg or any other available Benelux country. When your factory is done, spam with your available manpower as much as you can infantry. After the factory is done, sell as much
Electronics as possible.
1. If you justified on Switzerland
Before you declare war, make sure that you have at least 60k infantry. After declaring, put your troops in Basel or any city further away from Bern, so you can entrench your troops. After the Swiss army is destroyed, proceed to capture every Swiss city, except for the square ones, as you would be able to auto-get them if you have the rest. With the money you have just earned, proceed to make 1 Steel and 1 motor parts factory. After they are done and the unrest in
Switzerland disappears, proceed to make tanks and continue with your conquests.
2. If you justified on Luxembourg
Like the previous chapter, make sure to have at least 60k infantry. After declaring, do not send your troops directly in Luxembourg! Instead, go behind the capital and put your troops close enough to Diekirch so it can be captured, but far enough from Luxembourg City, as you don't want them to die to the entrenched troops there. After you are done with
Luxembourg, Use the money you have earned to make 1
Steel and 1 motor parts factory. Repeat the process with
Belgium. After the unrest in Brussels is gone, start making tanks and continue with your conquests.
