Description

Tank, previously known as the Tank 1, is a large and tanky boss that appears in Legacy Fallen mode and Golden mode. The Tank is a fast, high health enemy, with speeds similar to the Quick and much higher health than the Giant Boss. It can be a major threat to unprepared defenses.

The Tank can be sent in Low Rank PVP Test starting from Wave 26 for Cash (Gameplay Currency)$3,000.

Appearance

The Tank has a khaki-grey skin color and a grey cobblestone torso and legs. It has chains wrapped around its torso, left arm and right leg. Its right arm is slightly bigger than its left arm. It has rusted rebar impaled into its back and the top of its torso is beveled. The Tank has glowing red eyes, which have slanted tops to express anger, and no mouth. It runs hunchbacked and uses its right arm to push itself forward.

The Enemies Beta version of the Tank is a large humanoid with a waist and lower arms in its rig. It has a tannish-grey skin color as well as a reddish-brown torso, waist and legs. It has black armbands with grey spikes and abs with tumors and wounds on its chest. The lower sides of its limbs are coated in dried blood and its body is covered in dirt.

The third version of Tank had a khaki-grey skin color and a grey cobblestone torso and legs. It had chains wrapped around its torso, left arm and right leg. Its right arm was slightly bigger than its left arm. It had rusted rebar impaled into its back and the top of its torso was beveled. The Tank had a drooling zombie face with glowing red eyes, which had slanted tops to express anger. It ran hunchbacked and used its right arm to push itself forward.

The second version of Tank had a tannish-grey skin color and black pebble pants on its legs. It had long muscular arms and a large torso and legs. It walked slightly hunchbacked and had a drooling zombie face with glowing red eyes.

The first version of Tank is similar to the second version, except it had brown pants.

Strategy

  • Fast firing towers, such as the Minigunner, Accelerator or Turret, are recommended to kill Tanks.
    • The Commander can boost their firerate with its Call to Arms ability.
  • Because of the Tank's fast speed, long range towers, such as the Ranger, are recommended, as the Tank will take more time to get out of their range.
  • You can use slowing towers, like the Electroshocker, Warden, Brawler or Sledger to slow down the Tank.
    • Slowing it down is generally favored, due to the Tank's obscene speed.
    • Be aware that, due to the Tank's large size, the Warden and freezing towers can only slow the Tank down for a shorter period of time compared to an average-sized enemy.

Trivia

  • The Tank originally had an ability called Rock Throw where it would throw boulders at towers. This would stun them for a period of time.
    • This ability was based on the Left 4 Dead zombie, the Tank.
    • When the Tank was first added, the Rock Throw could vary in velocity. It could go far, or it could crumble right upon the first tower it hit.
      • The bits of rock that the boulder split into also had irregular hitboxes.
    • The boulders could be blocked by a player's torso.
  • The first two versions of the Tank had arms taken from the Superhero package in the Roblox catalog.
    • The first two versions of the Tank resembled the Tank from R2D and are likely a reference to said game.
  • Unlike its counterpart, the Speedy Boss, the Tank cannot be spawned from the Mystery Boss.
    • This is likely due to the Tank having a high amount of health and a very fast speed, which would make the game incredibly difficult if it spawned from Mystery Bosses.
  • The current appearance of the Tank is similar to the Charger from Left 4 Dead 2.
    • It could also draw inspiration to the current Boss4 from Tower Battles.
  • The Commander's dialogue suggests the Tank can throw boulders. However, this never happens in-game.
    • This is because the dialogue was made during Hardcore Testing BETA, where the Tank still had its Rock Throw ability. The dialogue was not changed for the Overhaul Update.
      • The dialogue also suggests that the Tank used to play in Baseball leagues.
  • The Tank was a sendable enemy in PVP Test since the first test, however, it could not actually be sent as it only had 25 waves.
    • This is no longer the case as since the second test, it has been extended to 30 waves.
    • Its stats were also not finished, with both its speed and health being set to 0.
  • The Tank uses its regular appearance in PVP Test. However, the icon for it shows its Enemies Beta appearance.
