Description

The Frost Mage was a Flying enemy that appeared in the Operation I.C.E Event. It is a stronger version of the Crying Angel, having higher health than it and an ability, though it is slower. It currently can only appear in Sandbox mode. It is similarly a Flying enemy, meaning only towers with flying detection can detect it. It has one ability, Ice Projectile, where it would fire an ice projectile with an explosion range of 5 at a tower or unit which was in its attack range of 20, freezing any tower or unit caught in the explosion for 2 seconds, while also dealing 250 damage to units.

Logbook Description

"Frost Mages are envied by the Crying Angels for reaching sainthood in their beliefs where the Frost Spirit grants them a portion of its power. Though chained by their duties, they remain devoted followers, their clothing reflecting both their strict order and granted freedoms. They fire ice projectiles at towers and units, dealing Area of Effect damage.";

Appearance

The Frost Mage is an angel with light grey skin and four grey wings on its back, chained to it with grey chains. On its head, it wears a grey visor, covering its eyes, and it has long, white hair. It wears a white shirt and grey pants, with its arms also being covered in ice. On its arms, it has multiple arm-bands with cut off chains. It also has a blue ice halo floating above its head.

Event Strategy

As this enemy only appears through Sandbox mode, no strategy section is made for its current version. Instead, a strategy section for the one that appeared without Sandbox mode in Outpost 32 is listed instead.

  • High DPS towers with flying detection, like the Pursuit and Ranger, are recommended here
    • As the Ranger and Pursuit have quite high range, they can easily stay away from the Frost Mage, making them less likely to be frozen.
  • The Field Medic can be used to grant your units immunity to being frozen and prevent them from being damaged by it.
    • This is not the case for the Medic, however, as it is unable to cleanse freeze from towers.
