"Make sure you have some hidden detection prepared. Got a feeling some stealth units are coming soon."
Commander dialogue on Wave 9 (Fallen)

Description

The Fallen Soul is an enemy that appears in Fallen and High Rank PVP Test modes. It has less health than the Heavy though it is faster than it. As it is a hidden enemy, only towers with hidden detection can target it.

Appearance

The Fallen Soul has dark blue skin. It does not have a head, torso or legs, though it does have a brown skull and rib cage. It wears a grey helmet with blue spikes, grey cloth around its waist and has chains wrapped around its arms. It also had multiple blue spikes on its shoulders and grey gloves.

Strategy

  • Most early game towers gain hidden detection. Such towers are recommended to deal with early Fallen Souls.
    • As Fallen Souls spawn in hordes, the Golden Pyromancer is particularly useful, being able to damage multiple enemies at once and having hidden detection by default.
      • The Pyromancer can also be useful against Fallen Souls, although it costs more and does not have hidden detection at base level.
    • Single target towers, like the Militant, Golden Soldier, Ace Pilot or Warden, can also clear out groups of Fallen Souls, although they will require more cash to successfully eliminate them.
    • Though the Trapper cannot detect hidden enemies, its traps will still work against them. In particular, its landmines can be used to eliminate groups of Fallen Souls due to its high splash damage.
  • For splash damage towers that cannot target Fallen Souls, such as the Mortar, if a Fallen Souls is caught up in an explosion, they will be dealt splash damage.
    • This means that another detectable enemy must be near the Fallen Soul for a splash damage tower to hit the Fallen Soul.
    • Similarly, the Electroshocker cannot target the Fallen Soul, however, it can hit it if there are other detectable enemies nearby.
