Boomer 2 has been removed from the game as of the 13th of October 2019.
Boomer 2 may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Description

The Boomer 2 was mostly regarded as a heated version of the Boomer 1. However, it was still affected by the flames of the Pyromancer and was just a stronger version of the Boomer 1. The Boomer 2 was a much bigger threat compared to the Boomer 1 due to its higher health and larger explosion size.

Appearance

The Boomer 2 had a bloated appearance, similar to the Boomer 1. The only difference to the Boomer 1 was the Boomer 2's red skin tone, pinkish torso and dark red legs.

Strategy

  • Rapid-firing towers, such as the Minigunner or Sentry, can kill the Boomer 2 before it reaches your towers.
    • The Commander can also assist in killing this enemy quicker by boosting the firerate of your towers.
  • The Demoman and Rocketer can kill hordes of these through splash damage, preventing them from getting anywhere near your towers.
    • Additionally, the Outlaw can also be used to kill the Boomer 2s from afar without the risk of being stunned.
  • The Pyromancer and Freezer can be used to slow the Boomer 2 down.

Trivia

  • Even though the Boomer 2's appearance and narration prior to its debut suggested that they were immune to the Pyromancer, it was not.
  • The Boomer 2 had no direct replacement in the MEGA Update, though it could be argued that the Boomer was the replacement for both the Boomer 1 and Boomer 2.
