Description

The Brute is the final boss of Easy mode. As it is a Boss enemy, it is resistant to being stunned by stunning towers, immune to being frozen by freezing towers, slowed down by the Toxic Gunner, confused by the Jester, damaged from the Nuke's fallout and slowed down by the DJ Booth.

The Brute has very high health compared to anything that spawns before, but to compensate, it walks very slowly. It has two abilities. Its first, Smash, in which it slams it's fists onto a tower or unit, stunning it and other nearby towers for 3 seconds and doing 1,000 damage to units. Its second, Throw, has it throw a rock at a nearby tower or unit, which then splits into four smaller rocks. Each rock stuns towers for 6 seconds and does 500 damage to units per rock.

Appearance

The Brute is a large hulking humanoid with a waist and lower arms in its rig. It has a pale green skin color, an orange torso, waist and legs, with the former having white stripes. It wears black shoes and has a black harness with white buckles. It also has black braces with white spikes and chains attached, along with indented lower arms. It also has two heads, with the left one being larger.

Whenever one of its fists hits the ground, the screen shakes and makes a stomp sound. On death, the Brute will repeatedly bang its lower arms on its chest before falling forward onto the ground.

Strategy

  • The Brute only has stunning attacks, making single target DPS the most ideal way of defeating it.
  • The Sniper is the best choice against it for new players, as it is immune to stuns.
    • Other easily accessible DPS options for those looking to triumph on a harder map include the Soldier, Hunter and Militant.
  • Using unit spawning towers such as the Crook Boss can distract it as it can throw rocks directly onto units.

Trivia

  • The Brute shares its design with the Dummy Boss from the Tutorial.
    • Despite sharing the same design and icon, they are two separate enemies and therefore give two separate Logbooks.
