Description

The Speedy is a fast enemy that appears in Easy, Casual, Legacy Molten and Intermediate modes. It can appear in Low Rank and Mid Rank PVP Test, but only if sent by a player. It also appears in the Tutorial. The Speedy is faster than every enemy that appears early on.

The Speedy also has a chance to be spawned by the Mystery upon its death in the Legacy Molten mode. The Grave Digger used to have a chance to spawn the Speedy with its Triumphing Sheol ability on Easy mode. The Speedy was also formerly spawned by the Necromancer before its replacement.

The Speedy also appeared in The Heights as part of the SFOTH Event, in Cyber City as part of the Metaverse Champions Event, and was part of the The Classic Event.

Appearance

The current version of the Speedy is a humanoid with a light blue skin color, with the edges of its arms being a lighter color, as well as a brown torso and legs. It is faceless and lightly covered in dirt. It has two animations that are randomly chosen.

The first version of the Speedy had a light blue skin color, as well as a brown torso and legs, but without a face.

It originally had one animation, but after the Intermediate Mode Update, it had two animations that were randomly chosen.

The current version of the Speedy has a desaturated light blue skin color, as well as a desaturated blue torso and legs. It has two diagonal scars on its face, which looks like a mirrored "y" symbol.

The current version of the Enemies Beta Speedy has a light blue skin color, as well as a brown torso and legs, but without a face.

The third version of the Speedy looks similar to the current one, except it has a sad face.

The second version of the Speedy had a light blue skin color. It had blue torso and slightly darker blue legs with a drooling zombie face.

The first version of the Speedy had a light blue skin color. It had a brown torso and desaturated brown legs with a drooling zombie face.

Strategy

  • Most towers can deal with the Speedy effectively.
    • Any tower catered towards early game, like the Soldier, Gladiator, Golden Scout, Militant or Golden Crook Boss is recommended.
    • It is unnecessary to try to get stronger, more expensive towers like the Minigunner solely to deal with Speedies, as cheaper options fare well against them already.
    • Towers with high damage, but slow firerate, like the Sniper, may struggle against hordes of Speedies.
    • Towers that can deal damage to multiple enemies are especially effective against Speedies as they spawn in hordes. Such towers include the Demoman, Electroshocker, Pyromancer and Shotgunner.
  • It is perfectly fine to avoid defending against the first few waves of Speedies and simply let them reach the exit, as their low health makes it unlikely to make you lose.
    • You can use the Medic to heal the base health back, but it is not necessary.
    • Because you allow the Speedy to reach the base, you can use extra cash on Farms instead of defense.

Trivia

  • The original appearance of the Speedy was based on the Speedy from Tower Battles.
  • On some renders that use the current version of its appearance, the Speedy uses the "x" face instead of the mirrored "y" face.
  • This is the enemy with the lowest health in the entire game, with a measly 3 health.
    • This is only the case in Tutorial and PVP Testing, however, as in every other appearance, the Speedy has more health.
