—Myrrh talking to Saleh in a support conversation
Myrrh is a playable character from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. She is the adopted daughter of Morva who lives with him in the Darkling Woods after her true parents were killed in the last great war. In Caer Pelyn, she is known as the Great Dragon. She acts as a traveling companion to Ephraim, and she is revealed to be 1, 200 years old.
Myrrh appears as a Sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Profile
Centuries before the events of the story, Myrrh was along the dragons who defeated the demonic king Fomortiis in the Darkling Woods. After the event, she and the survivor dragons continued to live there in secrecy.
A short time before the beginning of The Sacred Stones, Myrrh and her bonded protector, Saleh, depart towards the heart of Magvel to investigate the sudden ominous darkness. Before they reached their destination, they were separated during in battle and Myrrh was captured and her dragonstone was taken, therefore losing her ability to shapeshift into a dragon.
The Sacred Stones
Myrrh first appears when the siblings Eirika and Ephraim encounter each other in Frelia's castle, after Chapter 8. Ephraim introduces the two, and explains that he found Myrrh in captivity within Grado territory. She reveals that she sensed a great evil coming from Grado and traveled there, but she ended up being captured and losing her dragonstone. Since then, Myrrh was protected by Ephraim, while she kept her mission in searching for the Demon King, who she sensed was coming back to life.
Eirika's route
During Eirika's route, the princess meets Saleh who introduces her to his grandmother, the Caer Pelyn elder, Dara. The old woman reveals that Myrrh is actually the Great Dragon from the legends who saved Magvel from the Demon King, even though most people thought she was a little girl at first. Saleh, who was looking after her restlessly, discovers through Eirika, that Myrrh is with Ephraim and then he sets out to find her. Saleh and Eirika meet Myrrh again only in chapter 15, when Eirika reunites with her brother.
Ephraim's route
Regardless of the route chosen by the player, Ephraim accompanies Myrrh on the quest. During the journey, she eventually runs away from his group once they arrive at Taizel, after their ship journey, with her reason being that she sensed her dragonstone nearby. She is eventually captured by general Selena of Grado, whom Myrrh attempts to convince that Grado's cause is unjust. Even though Selena refuses to believe her words, she is released by the general who took a like for the girl.
Before Ephraim's army begins clashing with Selena, Myrrh rejoins her former companions. Despite everything, she is saddened by Selena's death.
After the battle, she obtains her dragonstone, and can finally join the battlefield in chapter 16. In chapter 20, she hopes to reunite with her Morva when the army arrives at Darkling Woods. However, Morva is forcibly transformed into a Draco Zombie by Lyon. After her father is slain by the twins' army, Myrrh cries over his death, but continues to fight against the Demon King and his minions.
Epilogue
After Fomortiis is defeated, Myrrh returns to Darkling Woods. If she has an A support with Ephraim, she will develop a stronger bond with him, although she never leaves her home again. Alternatively, if she has an A support with her guardian Saleh, she will move to Caer Pelyn, where she is treated as a normal girl.
Personality
Meek and isolated, due to her upbringing, Myrrh feels alienated from the world around her. As a "great dragon," Myrrh feels distant from humans, and also struggles to fully connect with monsters because of her distinct dragon heart. Revered by the people of Caer Pelyn because of her adoptive father’s legacy, Myrrh thinks of herself as undeserving of such honor, leading her to remain emotionally distant and interact with only a select few. While she yearns to explore the world, she has no desire to live among humans, preferring brief visits over integrating into human society.
Although she appears to prefer solitude, she secretly yearns for authentic companionship from those who would treat her with normalcy. Most of her conversations revolve around expressing concern for others, as she seldom speaks about herself.
After Prince Ephraim rescues her, Myrrh becomes deeply attached to him, calling him her brother. Though Ephraim initially feels awkward with this title, he grows to accept it and cares for her like a younger sister. They engage in many conversations, and Myrrh learns some of Ephraim’s etiquette, even scolding Dozla for asking a woman her age. While it is not explicitly shown, Myrrh also sees Eirika as a sister. Although she treasures her time with Ephraim and is offered a room in Castle Renais, she hesitates to accept, touched by his unconditional acceptance of her, despite her own feelings of being a monster. Ultimately, Myrrh chooses to return to the Darkling Woods, with Ephraim visiting her often. As noted by Dozla and hinted at in Heroes, Myrrh develops a fondness for Ephraim.

Myrrh, like most Manaketes, is a useful character, capable of killing most enemies with ease. Her Dragonstone does effective damage to monsters (meaning that its might of 16 will be tripled), making her useful against Draco Zombies and other creatures.
While her initial stats may appear incredibly low for her late join time, the Dragonstone increases them enough to let her easily compete with your promoted units considering defensive stats, hit rates and raw damage output, with her low base speed and HP remaining her only big weakness. This results in her most likely having trouble to double enemies for quite some time or taking fights with enemies who wield weapons which are effective against Myrrh or the Luna tome which ignores her high resistance and will target her low HP-pool instead. Aside from that, her high EXP-gain combined with her high growths in strength and defense will quickly allow her to kill most less durable enemies with a single blow without taking damage herself. Her absurd Resistance makes her particularly good at withstanding siege tome users. Myrrh also has the unusual advantage of being a flier, and though she is not as mobile as some of your other units, she can still reach places that other units may struggle with.
An oft-mentioned point about Myrrh is her Dragonstone, which has only 50 uses and cannot be repaired by Hammerne. This may make players tentative to use her, as her Dragonstone running out will make Myrrh more or less useless. However, Myrrh does not tend to deplete her Dragonstone unless the player makes an effort to overuse her, given that she is around for only a few chapters, has low base Speed, and her Dragonstone should be one-shotting monsters most of the time. If the player wishes to use her in the Creature Campaign or dungeons, it is recommended they use the enemy control glitch, which can restore her Dragonstone when properly manipulated.

Base Set
Myrrh is a Green Dragon Flying unit and the first Flying dragon when Heroes was first released. With 33 Atk, she hits very hard for a Book I unit and her mixed bulk of 78 physical and 73 magical is very respectable for a Book II unit. Her Def in particular is a solid 36, which is her most important stat for her kit. Her downside is a low 25 Spd, meaning that she is doubled very easily, but she has enough options to easily cover this. Her flying status gives her superb mobility and placement options on maps. Myrrh in general is a moderately solid defensive unit when built even on a slight budget that makes her as a nice pick even in modern times.
Her Great Flame grants her an innate Atk+3 on top of her 16 Mt for a solid 52 Atk before Assets and other investments like Dragonflowers are taken into account and it also carries the innate adaptive damage when facing a ranged foe. If her Def is higher than her foes, her foe cannot perform a follow-up attack. Because of this, Myrrh wants to push her Def as much as possible, making it her Asset one of her strongest options. When it gained a refine, it gives herself a +5 to her core stats during combat and neutralizes skills that guarantees follow-ups if she has at least 25% of her HP at the start of combat and is within two spaces of her allies. Myrrh on her is potentially potent especially if she is under the full conditions of her weapon alone. If invested into, especially to raise her Def, Myrrh can be incredibly strong when at full power
.
Naturally, her high Def syncs well with Bonfire to use 50% of her Def as bonus damage. Fury gives her a +3 flat increase to her four core stats at the cost of 6 non-lethal recoil after combat, which any flat increase will always benefit her especially to increase the odds of Great Flame gaining full effect. Hone Dragons grants Atk/Spd+6 to adjacent dragon allies at the start of her turn for support on Dragon teams.
Counters
Myrrh's double status as a Dragon unit and a Flying unit means that she is susceptible to their weaknesses to weapons specialized against them. Being green also means that for the dragon side, she falls to all Falchion users as well as Roy with a refine or his legendary, and Tiki's young and adult form with Fog Breath. Deirdre and Julia also deal with her well especially since their Naga tome forces Myrrh to target their much higher Res. Myrrh can potentially survive a hit from Bow users given her high Def, but she should remain cautious of them nonetheless, especially if not running Distant Counter. Iote's Shield can be considered to remove this threat entirely, but at the cost of some other powerful options.
Skill Inheritance
Myrrh's Support skill is best filled by Reposition for the utility of the positioning effect. Myrrh synergies well on any team, including pure-fliers too, thus giving Reposition general value overall. Myrrh's best option for a Skill B is Quick Riposte which shores up her low Spd issue to give her an additional attack on defense. Dragon's Ire also works well, though it is a much less available option than Quick Riposte. Distant Counter expands the range of units she can threaten. Her Skill C can be filled with a host of other skills when not used on a Dragon team as Smoke skills are generally her best option, especially Pulse Smoke.

Etymology
'Myrrh' possibly takes her name from the reddish-brown resinous material collected from the dried sap of certain trees, which can be related to her origins from Darkling Woods. The name is derived from the Greek myth of Myrrha, the mother of Adonis who was turned into a tree by the gods as punishment for seducing her father.
Trivia
- Using the Enemy Control Glitch, it is possible to have Myrrh use a monster's weapon (such as a Revenant's claw, a Bael's talon, a Mauthe Doog's fang, etc.), but no animation is displayed, though acquiring a Draco Zombie's weapon, Wretched Air, in this manner will result in the stat enhancements of the weapon being activated.
- Also, if the Demon Light and Ravager weapons are taken from Fomortiis via the Enemy Control Glitch, Myrrh can use them, but Nightmare can only be used by Fomortiis.
- Monsters can also use her Dragonstone with no animation as well.
- One can also restore her Dragonstone in this manner, as seen in more details on this page.
- Myrrh is the first playable female manakete to not be a Divine Dragon.
- Myrrh and Morva's species of Manakete is unexplained and seems to be entirely unique. Her Dragonstone is different from all other manaketes in the GBA series.
- In the beta version, she seems to have had purple eyes instead of crimson.
- Myrrh shares her English Voice Actress, Erica Lindbeck, with Celica.
- Myrrh cannot be used in the Link Arena. This may be because the stat boosts from her dragonstone are extremely and unfairly powerful.
- Myrrh's default form's summoning quote are a direct quote from her C-Support with Dozla.
