Hall of Forms is a game mode in Fire Emblem Heroes.
Overview
In this mode, the player is provided a pre-set team of four Heroes called Forma which they can clear maps using only the four Forma. Each new Hall of Forms has a different set of Forma to use. Clearing maps awards players with items from Orbs to Limited Divine Codes.
Forma Unit Training and Building
Forma start off only with the Silver Weapon+ equivalent of all weapons except for Staff untis who start off with Assault and no other skills. All Forma units start at Level 10 and are at 5-Star rarity at the start of the event and can level up by defeating opponents. They also have the exact same base stats and stat increases as their Hero unit of origin and will not have Traits modifications.
Whichever Forma defeats the first enemy on the map is allowed to learn a brand new skill, increase their Merge level, or take no rewards. Skills, including Skill Seal, at the Forma Skill learning screen are randomized, but follow any restrictions the skills would normally have in terms of which unit can learn them. All skills are at their strongest variant and units who have exclusive skills or weapons are able to learn those skills if they are presented to the player after combat. If the Weapon Skill can be refined, the weapon will be in a refined state when obtained, though Stat refines are always randomized. Weapon Skills with unique ability refines are always given for that weapon. Players can overwrite any skill that the Forma unit has learned, but will not be able to reobtain the same skill unless it is presented to them again.
If all allies are defeated, players retain any EXP they obtained on the map, but lose the ability to learn a skill, even if they defeated at least one enemy unit. Inversely, even if the unit who defeats the first enemy on the map falls, they are still able to learn a skill after the map's conclusion.
Summoning and Forma Mechanics
After a Hall of Forms event ends, players can summon any of the four Forma used during the event using a Forma Soul. These can be obtained occasionally through a Quest, through the Celestial Stone shop for 3 Celestial Stones, or by purchasing a Forma Soul pack for $29.99 USD. The Forma are differentiated from normal units by a special deep blue color stars and they remain at 5-Star rarity. The Forma will start of with the Level and Skills that the Forma had at the end of the Hall of Forms event already learned upon summoned. If there are any skills the original unit would have in its base kit that the Forma does not have equipped upon being summoned, Forma can learn those skills like a normal unit with Skill Points. Weapons also retain any Skill or Stat refine the unit has at the end of the event. Forma does count as an obtained Hero in the Catalog of Heroes, can earn Hero Merit for that Hero, and will activate the Summmoning/Level 40 5-Star conversations when conditions are met. Forma can also use Trait Fruits, Dragonflowers, and Ascendant Florets.
Skill seals and any Merges the Forma had at the end of the event are not retained nor obtained upon summoning. All Forma have neutral Traits for all five stats when summoned. Forma cannot be used in Skill Inheritance to give to other units the skills that they obtained or would have normally. However, Forma can us the Skill Inheritance feature to learn skills from other units. Forma cannot be merged into a normal version of the same Hero, but a normal version of the same Hero can be merged into the Forma.
Forma are only obtainable for purchase until the start of the next Hall of Forms event and are completely unobtainable after they have been rotated out.
