Seika (セイカ; Seika) is a location in Suikoden.
Overview
A small village just south of the Kwaba Fortress, Seika is a quiet town in the Gouran region. travelers heading to the Arlus region often stop to rest in this village. The houses are a typical combination for this region, with stone walls and tiled roofs.
Despite the sleepy nature of the town, it does have a few famous residents. A mansion at the edge of the village was once the retreat of the renowned genius strategist Mathiu Silverberg. After leaving the Scarlet Moon Empire's army, opened a school to teach the children of Seika in SY 448 and continued doing so until his appointment as Liberation Army strategist in SY 455. Two of his students from Seika have gone on to garner a great deal of fame themselves; Apple and Shu, who followed in Mathiu’s shoes, becoming strategists themselves. Shu also became known as a highly prosperous trader and Apple, following her service in both the Jowston-Highland War and the Second Fire Bringer War, published a biography on Mathiu before following his footsteps in another way, opening a school in Seika to teach the next generation in SY 475.
The population of the village was around 900 at the time of the founding of the Toran Republic.
