Kreutz served Geil Rugner during the Scarlet Moon Succession War and pledged loyalty to him. Kreutz was the only one regarded as a renowned general fighting for Geil. Following the death of Geil and the ascension of Barbarossa Rugner to the throne, Kreutz fled the country, as he refused to serve under his liege's enemy. Branded a fugitive, Kreutz was given refuge in Dragon Knights' Fortress, home of the Dragon Knights.

During the height of the Toran Liberation War, Humphrey Mintz invited him to join the Toran Liberation Army. Kreutz accepted this offer for the chance to kill Barbarossa and avenge his master. Following the defeat of Barbarossa and the fall of the Scarlet Moon Empire, Kreutz simply disappeared without a trace.
Kreutz is all physical combat, but lack a lot in speed. Statistically, he's similar to Humphrey, just with a heavier focus on defense as the cost of speed and a little of his strength. He can be a powerful fighter, especially when geared towards being a defensive wall. Thankfully, despite his low speed, he is one of a handful of characters that can equip the Windspun Armor which will slightly offset the issue. He can in fact equip most of the heaviest armor types in the game, making him an excellent shield on the front lines.
