Background

Gen was a skilled shipwright living in Teien. He had a strong craftsman’s spirit, a bold personality, and a relentless desire to improve his skills. Constantly seeking challenging projects, he was highly passionate about his work.

He frequently bickers with his neighbor Kamandol, but surprisingly, the two get along well enough to occasionally share drinks.

In battle, he used a battle saw. Gen used his sawing expertise from shipbuilding in battle, rapidly pushing and pulling the saw to slice through enemies.

Before the Toran Liberation War, Gen was living in Teien next door to Kamandol, working on various projects. When Tir came to town seeking out a way to pass the Dunan Rapids, Gen accepted the challenge. He introduced Tir to Kamandol, and, with his help, upgraded a boat in Rikon with an oil burning motor in order to have sufficient power to pass the rapids.

Gen then joined the Liberation Army, continuing to help using his carpentry skills to upgrade boats for the army. Given the opportunity to showcase his skills, he wholeheartedly devoted himself to the cause. One such upgrade again allowed Tir to pass a set of northern rapids, opening up access to the Dana region. At one point, he even assisted making hundreds of boats out of ice with the help of Milia and Thrash.

After the war, Gen returned to Teien and pursued his ship building.
