During the Toran Liberation War, Melodye ran into Tir McDohl, the leader of the Liberation Army, in her home town and discovered that he himself happened to have a Sound Orb in his possession. After he generously gave it to her, the young girl quickly joined the Liberation Army's cause, using her phonological skills to aid the force to the best of her ability.
Following the end of the war, Melodye took off with her Sound Rune to explore all the sounds of the world.
