MOON is one of the songs from the default songlist in pop'n music 13 カーニバル. The song was also downloadable content for the now defunct mobile game, pop'n music (i-αppli), and a default song for the Korean-exclusive mobile game, 코나미 팝픈뮤직.
MOON was added to ポップンミュージック as a downloadable song that was part of the Super-Advanced Extreme Set (超上級エクストリームセット?), as well as one for the Euro Pack in the North American release of that game. The song was downloadable content for pop'n music portable 2, as part of the second pre-order bundle.
In pop'n music Lively, MOON was unlockable on August 4, 2021, as the Monthly Bonus Song. Since August 3rd, 2022, the song can be purchased by using two Lively Tickets.

General
- MOON marks the first time Yuki has received a new design and set of animations since HONEまで♥トゥナイト in pop'n music 4.
- MOON is Erika Mochizuki's first (and so far, only) song where she has provided the vocals on the pop'n music series.
- In the American version of pop'n music (Wii), MOON's title and artist were capitalized as Moon and Dj Taka feat. Erika Mochizuchi respectively.
- According to dj TAKA, MOON was made late into production of pop'n music 13 カーニバル, when wac asked him to make a song for the game. TAKA made MOON over the course of a month.
- wac also wanted MOON to have a video when if it ever came to beatmania IIDX. It did not initially, but eventually received one in beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD.
Etymology
- The song's genre, "AISYU-EURO" (哀愁ユーロ?), translates to "sorrow euro".
Song Production Information
Due to my busy schedule, I always create songs at the very end of pop'n's final production stage.
Well, this time, what should I make? I was nervous about what kinds of unreasonable requests I'd receive for CARNIVAL, but since there were enough songs with that theme, I was asked to make something completely unrelated.
Yes wac, I understand. During the final production stage, there are too many songs following the theme, so you want songs which have nothing to do with that theme.
Alright~, I fully understand how wac feels. Since wac's back was so melancholic that it brought out a sad atmosphere like "even though it's in the final production stage, it isn't finished at all, and I don't have time to somehow think about your song", this time, I created AISYU EURO dedicated to wac.
Firstly, I started by changing my computer's desktop background from my cute dog Rai, to wac's melancholic back.
I completed the intro from here.
Next, after drinking too much, I went near the toilet at ○○○○○○gaseki Station, where wac went "OTL", to try and get inspiration.
I completed the first verse from here.
Furthermore, I tried to synchronize this song with the image of shaking hands with the elementary school student who hit a big home run at the elementary school next to wac's rented room, and brilliantly broke the glass window of wac's room.
I completed the pre-chorus from there.
Finally, I intended to return to Shinjuku from Shimokitazawa, but I missed the train and soaked myself in Hakone-Yumoto's hot springs.
And then I completed the chorus from there.
This is how "moon" was born.
As this is the request best, thank you for requesting "MOON" at this time, everybody.
Now first of all, I believe that "MOON" was commonly known to be inspired by wac's backside of his sorrows floating away; but the truth is that I wasn't listening to his recent sad talk. I don't have enough communication with him. (sighs) I regret this.
