The Grimions is a power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description The Grimions icon takes on the appearance of a pair of the Sonic Trooper 's head. In gameplay, clones are spawned spawned in the lanes next to the player. When these clones are summoned, they appear from a circle on the ground that creates a pillar of red holographic light.
Overview In gameplay, the Grimions can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Grim Sonic .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Grimions by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the user will deploy Grim Sonic robot copies that randomly land down on a lane. The illusions will run alongside the user until it wears off within the certain times or hit an obstacle. Rival characters that touch the illusions will take damage, lose Rings and slow down momentarily. To avoid the robot minions, the player must either step out of their lane or jump over them.
The Grimions can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 6 and 12 respectively. For each level, the amount of damage is increased.
Trivia Grimions is a portmanteau of the Grim and "minions".
Grimions has chance to increase another clone for every time it upgraded.
Grimions is one of the very few non-Boost items that Steal cannot rob from an opponent.
