The Score Doubler is a power-up that appears in the Sonic Boom series. When obtained, it boosts the player's point awards.
Description
The Score Doubler is presented as a glass capsule with a red cap on the top and bottom. Inside it, it has "x2" written in thick blue signs. Upon obtaining it, the user is briefly surrounded in a blue aura.
Overview
In gameplay, the Score Doubler can be found on the racing courses, where the player can obtain it by touching its item capsule. When obtained, the Score Doubler will multiply the value of any points the player earns over the course of their run by two. Each Score Doubler last for about seven seconds.
Certain Sprites allow the player to manipulate this powerup; Duplex extents the Score Doubler's duration and Amp makes the Score Doubler appear more often.
