Electric Arbor

Electric Arbor is a track that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. It is unlocked in Tier 4, or upon reaching 1000 Trophies.

Description

Electric Arbor is a hard-difficulty track based in Mystic Jungle. It contains massive six-lane half-pipes and Grind Rails.

Gameplay

In Electric Arbor, the playable characters are stuck running down the level's road and can only move left and right between the road's lanes (akin to the Quick Step). While running, the player can pick up Rings or power-ups from Item Boxes and utilize the gimmicks native to this track. Rings and Item Boxes in particular respawn almost immediately after a playable character picks them up from the track.

Electric Arbor has many environmental obstacles which the player can either jump over, roll under or move around. Running into one of these obstacles will result in the player taking damage and lose some of their Rings. Falling into bottomless pits on the other hand forces the player to restart from an earlier point on the track.

Overview

The track starts out on a straight road section consisting of four lanes that heads up and down some hills. At the end, the track will turn to the right as it expands into six lanes inside a half-pipe. Soon after, a brief Grind Rail appears, which leads into another half-pipe that turns to the right. From here, the track straightens out for a while, with a bar across the road that the player must slide under. Along this straight section are are also downward slopes and a brief Griend Rail section. Eventually, the track will turn to the left, with bar across it that the player has to slide under and the xix lanes merging back into four. After another brief, yet straight section, the track will turn slightly to the left again, followed by a sharp turn to the right. At the end of this turn is a bottomless pit on a straight section to jump over. At the end of this section, the track expands into six lanes again and turns right. Following then a left turn, the track will straighten out for an extensive while, with set of Triple Dash Pads along this section, before ending at the goal.
