The Bass Rush is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description The Bass Rush's icon takes the pink glowing string on the guitar neck, create an pink glowing aura ahead, with pink notes next to it.
Overview In gameplay, the Beat Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Bassist Blaze .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Bass Rush by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Bass Rush will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time, which Bassist Blaze plays the guitar while gliding on the pink glowing string. The duration of the Bass Rush is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Bass Rush is in effect. In addition, the music theme will be played quietly while the Bass Rush is in effect, and when switching lanes, another guitar string appear with a single note in extra music theme played. Any rival character who makes contact with the user while the Bass Rush is in effect will take damage, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily.
The Bass Rush can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 2, 8 and 14 respectively. For each upgrade, the Bass Rush will last longer.
Trivia The jingle played when the Bass Rush is in effect is Vela Nova .
Upon the video showcase of Bassist Blaze from ambassador or developer, the Bass Rush has an issue occur which the duration of the Bass Rush is last twice as long as it usually is, which is released when Bassist Blaze event was begun.
