The Feral Dash is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Boost Item used primarily to increase the user's speed.

Description

The Feral Dash's icon takes the form of a purple-colored, comet-shaped aura with lightning bolt-like markings on the front and purple rings around its aura trail. In gameplay, this power-up becomes a purple-white aura around the user with a purple color trail released in their slipstream and white electrical surges around the user.

Overview

In gameplay, the Feral Dash can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by the Werehog.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Feral Dash by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Feral Dash will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The Werehog will as well starting running on all fours when using this power-up. The duration of the Feral Dash is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Feral Dash is in effect. In addition, any rival character who makes contact with the user or runs close by on lanes adjacent to the user while the Feral Dash is in effect will take damage, causing them to lose Rings, stop moving for a moment, and lose a random item they currently have.
