Golden Bay

Golden Bay, also known as Golden Bay Zone, is an area that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. It was added to promote the Sonic the Hedgehog film.

Description

Golden Bay is a urban region based on San Francisco from the Sonic the Hedgehog film. Many buildings and asphalt streets are common, and construction signs appear as obstacles.

Golden Bay has the following three tracks:

Trivia

• Golden Bay is the first area in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle to not be based on an existing level in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, with the second being Emerald City.
  • Along with Sky Sanctuary, Planet Wisp, Emerald City, and Metro City, Golden Bay is also the only area that did not originally appear in Sonic Forces.
  • It is also the first area in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle that does not feature music from Sonic Forces, rather utilizing an instrumental version of "Escape from the City" from Sonic Adventure 2.
• Golden Bay is the one of the two areas to feature the drone-like Badniks from the Sonic the Hedgehog film, appearing as stationary enemies through the tracks.
• According to the travel brochure, the Golden Gate Bridge-like bridge in the background is called the "Golden Bay Bridge".
• The fact this track uses Escape from the City as its music is likely a reference to City Escape being based on San Francisco.
