Warp
Purpose
Giving the player the option to skip to the next checkpoint or the end of the level if they have lost five
lives consecutively, or fallen to their last extra life

The Warp [ note 1] Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog seriesZone .
Description The Item Capsules with Warp feature a single white and short wing with a swirl at the body joint.
Overview In the gameplay of the Wii U and PC version of Sonic Lost World Star Post five times in a row or returned with no additional extra lives, the Warp capsule will appear above the Star Post. Breaking it will cause the player to skip to the next Star Post, or either the end-of-level Capsule or boss fight in the event this occurs at the last Star Post.
Trivia The icon used for the Warp is somewhat reminiscent of the one used for the Fly Charge power-up in Sonic Heroes
The Warp can be used to bypass most sections that would normally require the player to destroy Badniks to move onto the rest of the level, making it possible to not destroy Badniks that would otherwise be required to be destroyed in order to progress through the game.
Despite this, the BFB in Sky Road Zone 3 is still required to be destroyed in order to complete the stage, as the Warp will not spawn no matter how many times the player dies (due to the completion of the level being triggered when defeating the BFB rather than a Capsule at the end like most other standard levels). This makes this specific BFB the only enemy in the game that is required to be destroyed in order to complete the game. Notes
