Temple Gate

Temple Gate is a track that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. It is unlocked from the beginning of the game.

Description

Temple Gate is an easy-difficulty track based in Sky Sanctuary, and contains multiple Conveyor Belts and Dash Panels.

Gameplay

In Temple Gate, the playable characters are stuck running down the level's road and can only move left and right between the road's four lanes (akin to the Quick Step). While running, the player can pick up Rings or power-ups from Item Boxes and utilize the gimmicks native to this track. Rings and Item Boxes in particular respawn almost immediately after a playable character picks them up from the track.

Temple Gate has many environmental obstacles which the player can either jump over, roll under or move around. Running into one of these obstacles will result in the player taking damage and lose some of their Rings. Falling into bottomless pits on the other hand forces the player to restart from an earlier point on the track.

Overview

The racers begin by running up a large hill, then through a section with many obstacles and a short Conveyor Belt on the outside lane of a turn. The track then goes into four alternating segments of land and Grind Rails, then into a longer Grind Rail segment leading to a series of Dash Panels on the ground. After a short trip across another set of Grind Rails, the racers will run up a large hill with several obstacles, then go over a hurdle and under a wall.

From there, the racers will travel over a short set of Grind Rails and land before going down a large stretch of Grind Rails in front of a loop. Once outside the loop, the racers will run through another series of alternating land and Grind Rail sections before coming across the final stretch of the track. Some Dash Pads and hurdles are placed here. and the finish line can be found directly ahead.
