Silver Chao

Silver Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Hero Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Silver Chao have light silver pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large white eyes with black sclera, no noses, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They have five spikes that point up and out on their forehead with a further two larger spikes coming from the back of their head, much like Silver the Hedgehog's quills. Silver Chao also feature small, triangular ears on top of their heads. Their arms have bands of cyan around them, and their feet are also colored cyan and navy. They also have a floating cyan halo, a white pattern on their torso that resembles Silver's chest fur, a short and round cyan tail, and a small set of white wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Silver Chao is a collectible pet of the "Exotic" rarity. They can be obtained by completing the quests for the blue, green and purple Chaos Emeralds. They could later be bought at the race shop for 500 Race Tickets (3 February 2024 - 2 March 2024).

In gameplay, Silver Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Silver Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb, grant additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring, and will add a +2 magnet multiplier. The player can as well level up Silver Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Silver Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Silver Chao by collecting five of them, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Silver Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Silver Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with. They also add a magnetic effect to the user, allowing them to pick up items more easily.

Trivia

• Silver Chao formerly had the highest xp bonus in the game, before the addition of the Sunstone Chao six months later.
• Silver Chao were the first character Chao to be based on a Hero Chao added to Sonic Speed Simulator.
