Voltaic Trail

The Voltaic Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description

When equipped, the Voltaic Trail takes the appearance of small glowing bubbles that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surrounds them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Voltaic Trail is a collectible trail of the "Seasonal" rarity. It can be unlocked at the orange and magenta vending machine in Pumpkin Hill. When purchasing from this vending machine, the player has a 10.6% chance of getting a Voltaic Trail.

In gameplay, the Voltaic Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Voltaic Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can also level up a Voltaic Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Voltaic Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can evolve a Voltaic Trail by collecting five Voltaic Trails, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Evolving a Voltaic Trail will combine the Voltaic Trails into a single evolved trail at level 1, with boosted base stats compared to the un-evolved version.
