Cerulean Chao

Cerulean Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Cerulean Chao have light blue, pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms or feet have digits. They also have a floating dot above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Cerulean Chao is a collectible pet of the "Rare" rarity. It can be unlocked by completing Green Hill Time Trial in 45 seconds or under, giving the player a gold medal, and several rewards, a Cerulean Chao being among them.

In gameplay, Cerulean Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Cerulean Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Cerulean Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Cerulean Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Cerulean Chao by collecting five Cerulean Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Cerulean Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Cerulean Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.

• Prior to the "rebirth" update, the Cerulean Chao had a black coloration, and could be unlocked at the blue and light blue vending machine in Hill Top. When purchasing from said vending machine, the player had a 30% chance of getting a Cerulean Chao.
