Techno Chao

Techno Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Techno Chao have white, pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They have black coloring on their bellies and the ends of their limbs. They also have orange and gray goggles, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have a floating orange sphere above their heads, black tips on their arms, feet and head points, short and round tails, and a small set of orange wings on their backs.

For attire, they have silver-and-orange visors.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Techno Chao is a collectible pet of the "Legendary" rarity. It could be purchased at a display model near the starting point in Green Hill for 499 Robux on 6 August 2022. Alternatively, the player could buy five of them at once for 1,999 Robux at a display model in the same world. However, the option to purchase them was removed approximately a week afterwards.

In gameplay, Techno Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Techno Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. They also provide extra jump and spin dash power. The player can as well level up Techno Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Techno Chao will improve its attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Techno Chao by collecting five Techno Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Techno Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Techno Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with, alongside increasing power.
