Crimson Chao

Crimson Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Crimson Chao have black pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms or feet have digits. They also have a floating red dot above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs. The tips of their arms and feet are also red.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Crimson Chao is a collectible pet. Initially it was introduced as "Rare" buddy which could be unlocked at the dark blue vending machine in Snow Valley. When purchasing from that vending machine, the player had a 15% chance of getting a Crimson Chao. However, following the 2.0 update, its rarity was changed to "Epic", and its method of unlocking was changed so that a batch of five Crimson Chao could be received as a reward for completing the "Racing the Clock" Quest in Green Hill.

In gameplay, Crimson Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Crimson Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Crimson Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Crimson Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Crimson Chao by collecting five Crimson Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Crimson Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Crimson Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
