Pumpkin Chao

Pumpkin Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Pumpkin Chao have cyan pudding-like bodies. They also have no nose or mouth, a round torso that's smaller than their heads, no legs or feet, and arms with no visible hands or digits. In addition, they have a floating yellow dot above their head, yellow tips on their arms, a short and round tail, and a small set of wings on their backs. Their head is covered by a pumpkin, which has eyes and a jagged mouth carved into it.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Pumpkin Chao is a collectible pet of the "Rare" rarity, formerly of the "Epic" rarity before the Reborn update. It can be obtained from the blue and light gray vending machine, when purchasing from this machine, the player has a 5.3% chance of getting a Pumpkin Chao. Before the Reborn update, they could be obtained from the Boo Bash Event by eliminating 100k and 150k Boos, which would grant 2 and 3 Pumpkin Chao respectively.

In gameplay, Pumpkin Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Pumpkin Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Pumpkin Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Pumpkin Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Pumpkin Chao by collecting five of them, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Pumpkin Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Pumpkin Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
