Sunshine Trail

The Sunshine Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description

When equipped, the Sunshine Trail takes the appearance of a textured red-orange streak that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surrounds them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Sunshine Trail is a collectible trail of the "Epic" rarity. It can be unlocked at the red and orange vending machine at the end of the Sky Obby in Green Hill during the "Firework Festival Event". When purchasing from this vending machine, the player has a 100% chance of getting a Sunshine Trail.

In gameplay, the Sunshine Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Sunshine Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up a Sunshine Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Sunshine Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can evolve a Sunshine Trail by collecting five Sunshine Trails, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Evolving a Sunshine Trail will combine the Sunshine Trails into a single evolved trail at level 1, with boosted base stats compared to the un-evolved version.
