Berry Chao

Berry Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Berry Chao have blue, pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms or feet have digits. They also have a floating red dot above their heads, red tipped arms, head points and feet, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Berry Chao is a limited collectible pet of the "Legendary" rarity. It could be purchased at a display model in between the cyan and light blue vending machines in Green Hill for 600 Robux on 7 May 2022. However, the option to purchase them was removed 48 hours later.

In gameplay, Berry Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Berry Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Berry Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Berry Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Berry Chao by collecting five Berry Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Berry Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Berry Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
