Jewel Chao

Jewel Chao are a type of Chao in Sonic Speed Simulator. They are Chao who have jewel textured bodies as well as a single skin color and can be obtained in a wide variety of ways.

Appearance

Jewel Chao have jewel textured, pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have yellow floating dots above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Jewel Chao are collectible pets that come in "Uncommon", "Rare", and "Epic" and rarities. There is a large amount of ways in which they can be obtained, some are bought from vending machines across four of the worlds, while others can be obtained through Spin Wheels in the Metal Madness/Mach Madness, Aerial Assault, and Mechanist Tails' Ultra Prize Zone events. Additionally, some were given as rewards for completing tasks during the Metal Madness/Mach Madness, Aerial Assault, and Chrome Quest events.

In gameplay, Jewel Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Jewel Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Jewel Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Jewel Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Jewel Chao by collecting five of one variant of it, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Jewel Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Jewel Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
