The Cover P (カバーP,Kabā P?), also known as Cover-P, is a Bike type Extreme Gear that appears in Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. As a part of the Cover models of Extreme Gear, the Cover P specializes in offsetting the weaknesses that its rider may possess; in this Gear's case, it focuses on providing its rider with greater speed and better acceleration.
This Extreme Gear first appeared in Sonic Riders, where it was given the name "Cover-P". According to its profile, the Cover-P is enhanced especially for Power Type characters, meaning that only the Power Type characters in the game can use it. It can be purchased at the shop for 500 Rings.
The design for the Cover-P in Sonic Riders mostly resembles that of a traditional motorcycle scooter. It is mainly colored red, with white and black highlights on the front and each side of the rear, a black seat and a black floorboard.
Abilities and traits
As a Bike-type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Cover-P is more powerful, but less manoeuvrable and less fuel efficient than most other types of Extreme Gears.
Due to the Power Types possessing greater endurance that other characters in the game, but lacks better acceleration and higher speeds, the Cover-P gives good stats to boost its rider's acceleration and speed in exchange for a smaller Air Tank.

This Extreme Gear made a reappearance in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, in which it was given a slightly different name, "Cover P". According to its profile, it covers the power type's weaknesses by granting greater top speed and acceleration.
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Cover P was given a new design. In this game, it bears a closer resemblance to a racing motorcycle, with a more smooth and aerodynamic design. While otherwise keeping its color scheme from the previous title and remaining primarily red, it is colored black on the top half and is colored white on its lower rim in this game.
Abilities and traits
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Cover P is more powerful, but less manoeuvrable than most other types of Extreme Gears and allows its rider to crash through obstacles and barricades without slowing down, gaining Gravity Points for each destroyed obstacle.
Like in the previous title, Cover P has above average Limit and Dash stats which grants the rider high acceleration and speed.
