Base Stats UP

Base Stats UP is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an Extreme Gear Gear Part that improves the basic stats of the Extreme Gear.

Description

Base Stats UP is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gears. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. Its icon is a light blue-colored circle with a black Extreme Gear and two black sparkles around it.

Overview

In the game, Base Stats UP is permanently installed into only certain Extreme Gears. When in use, Base Stats UP improves all of the Extreme Gear's base stats (Dash, Limit, Power and Curve), increasing the Extreme Gear's acceleration rate, top speed, durability over rough terrain and turning abilities.

In gameplay, Base Stats UP and its ability are disabled when starting a new race. To activate Base Stats UP, the player must press one of the following buttons after collecting a certain number of Rings:

When activating Base Stats UP, the player's Rings will be reduced accordingly by the number needed to enable it and the Extreme Gear is surrounded by an orange void, indicating the Gear Part's ability is in effect. The following Extreme Gears come equipped with the Base Stats UP:

• Activating this Gear Part while riding on the Mag will instantly deplete the GP Gauge, making the player unable to obtain Gravity Points by any means and overrides the effect of Attack Time UP if this Gear Part is activated after Attack Time UP.
