The Advantage S (アドバンテージS,Adobantēji S?), also known as Advantage-S (アドバンテージ-S,Adobantēji-S?), is a Skate type Extreme Gear that appears in Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. As a part of the Advantage models of Extreme Gears, the Advantage S specializes in a specific attribute, which is top speed.
This Extreme Gear first appeared in Sonic Riders, where it was given the name "Advantage-S". It is customized to be used only by the Speed Type characters in the game. It is unlocked in the game by completing the Heroes Story in Story Mode, and can then be purchased at the shop for a thousand Rings.
The design for the Advantage-S is rather simple, resembling that of a pair of light blue roller skates, with black highlights alongside the edge of where the tongues would be and the lateral arch, small white lines on the sides and the front toes and black soles.
Abilities and traits
As a Skate-type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Advantage-S is less powerful than most Extreme Gears, but is also more agile and more fuel-efficient.
The Advantage-S possesses no special abilities of its own, but it specializes in high top speed through its Limit stat, allowing the user to reach speeds far above average, though its other stats are well below average.

This Extreme Gear made a reappearance in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, where it was given the slightly different name, "Advantage S". According to its profile, the faster the rider, the greater effect will the Advantage S have. It can be purchased at the shop for two thousand Rings.
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Advantage S underwent a significant change in design. Though it maintained the shape of a pair of roller skates, the front on the feet were made slightly larger and rounder, and was given small glass-like domes covering the mechanical workings on the soles. In this game, it is as well primary colored in a shade of federal blue, with black outlines along the soles and cyan lightning bolts on the sides
Abilities and traits
As a Skate type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Advantage S is less powerful than most Extreme Gears, but is instead more agile. It can grind in Grind Areas by default and can slide at high speed.
Like in the previous title, Advantage S specializes in high top speed. It has stats similar to the ones in Sonic Riders, giving it better basic top speed.
