Opa Opa

The Opa Opa (オパオパ, Opaopa^?) is a Board type Extreme Gear that appears in Sonic Riders. It is based on the character Opa-Opa from Sega's arcade game Fantasy Zone.

Description

According to its profile, it is said that the Opa Opa holds the soul of knight for an attack. It is unlocked after achieving a Gold Rank on all the missions in the game and can thereafter be bought at the shop for 2,500 Rings.

The Opa Opa's shape and appearance is based on Opa-Opa, a sentient spacecraft and the playable character from Sega's arcade game Fantasy Zone and essentially looks like Opa-Opa having been flatten to only a couple of inches thick.

Abilities and traits

As a Board-type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Opa-Opa is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics, an average rate of fuel-consumption and is suited for general riding.

When using the Opa-Opa during a race, the level of its rider using the Opa-Opa will always be at Level 3. This is signified by the playable character's attack method having been changed to dropping a large anvil on top of the opponent instead of the character's usual level 3 attack.
