Bingo Star

The Bingo Star (ビンゴスター, Bingosutā^?) is a Yacht type Extreme Gear that appeared in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. It can grant Ring bonuses to its riders if they can perform tricks of the same rank in succession.

Description

According to its profile, the Bingo Star's ability allows its rider to earn Rings with flair. It can be purchased at the shop for 6,120 Rings.

Like most other Yacht type Extreme Gear, the Bingo Star resembles a windsurf board, but without a sail and with the mast and board joined together, similar to a broom. Its inner rim is dark grey with two circular foot panels on the bottom and a handle on the top. It is primarily colored cyan, with blue and white highlights and possesses two purple exhaust ports on the top.

Abilities and traits

As a Yacht type Extreme Gear, the Bingo Star is capable of Air Riding. By taking off Catapults, the Bingo Star can begin gliding through midair and Dash Rings, gaining Gravity Points while doing so, until the rider loses too much momentum and falls. As with other Yacht type Extreme Gear, the Bingo Star can also automatically ride on opponents' slipstream and accelerate on them while riding directly behind an opponent, reducing drag and helping to increase speed.

When using the Bingo Star in a race, if the player manages to perform three Tricks with the same Rank in a row (except C Rank Tricks), they will automatically receive a number of Rings upon performing the third trick. The number of Rings received depends on the following Ranks:

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing, the Bingo Star appears as an Extreme Gear used by a background character during the Clean Sweepstakes race event.

Trivia

• The Bingo Star possesses the exact same Gear Parts as the Gambler and Wanted, other Extreme Gears that can grant the players extra Rings.
• The name may also be a reference to the English musician Ringo Starr.
