Mayu and Yuki's School Life (まゆとユキのスクールライフ Mayu to Yuki no Sukūru Raifu)? is the 21st episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure! and is the 989th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Just like Komugi, Yuki has also started going to school with everyone. Yuki is good at studying and sports. After observing Iroha, she decides to tell her about a former friend of Mayu's.

Synopsis
Yuki transfers to Second Wangan Middle School, which draws attention from her classmates due to her beauty.
Komugi is eager to play with Yuki, but Kiyoshi reminds her that school is for studying. When Mayu's classmates question her relationship with Yuki, she lies about Yuki being her cousin. The teacher tells Yuki to sit next to Komugi, but Yuki chooses to sit with Mayu instead, shocking the entire class. Mayu feels embarrassed by the attention but understands that Yuki is simply doing what's normal to her. Komugi attempts to have Yuki sit next to her, but Yuki instructs another boy to swap seats with her next to Mayu.
Komugi tells Yuki about school being a "wonderful" place, but Yuki questions why she always says that. Satoru explains "wonderful" means delightful or amazing. Komugi and Iroha call themselves "Wonderful Pretty Cure!", but Yuki, being a cat, doesn't want to say "wan", which is why she refuses to join. This confuses Komugi, who wants Yuki to join them.
Yuki is praised for her intelligence, artistic talent, and athletic ability. In embroidery class, Mayu finishes her piece while Yuki works on hers and compliments Mayu's skills in embroidery.
During lunch, Yuki's homemade lunch is praised by everyone. Komugi tells Yuki she can only eat human food as a human, not as a cat. Yuki feeds Mayu fish and wipes food off the latter's face, and Satoru notices that Yuki cares deeply for Mayu. Yuki's classmates ask Yuki to join the Drama Club, but she refuses because Mayu won't be joining.
Mayu asks Yuki at the stairs why she won't make friends with others, and Yuki explains that she came to school to be with Mayu so she can protect her. In class, Satoru approaches the girls and asks if they are doing embroidery. Komugi says Mayu and Yuki are teaching her and Iroha. Satoru shows his Daifuku embroidery which will be a gift for Daifuku. Iroha suggests trading handkerchiefs, with Mayu trading with Iroha, and Komugi with Yuki. Yuki refuses to participate, but Mayu shocks her by wanting to join. Satoru also expresses interest in participating in the trading.
While stitching their embroidery, Iroha asks Mayu for some help, however, the latter is too focused on her own embroidery. Iroha thinks that Mayu is amazing because she concentrates so hard. After observing Iroha, Yuki stands up and tells Iroha to come with her outside the classroom. Komugi comes as well as she doesn't want to be left alone. Outside the classroom, Yuki decides to talk about Mayu's past.
Mayu had a friend named Chiran Yuma at her old school. Mayu was making a handkerchief for Yuma's birthday, but Yuma thought she was being ignored when Mayu was focused on embroidery. This incident ended their friendship. Yuki doesn't want Mayu to get hurt again and believes she doesn't need friends who will hurt Mayu. Komugi says that she and Iroha are friends, but they have fought before. Komugi explains that when she and Iroha fought, she was sad, but they are even closer now. Iroha says that she wants to be closer friends with Yuki, but Yuki doesn't understand why. Komugi then explains that it's because playing together is more wonderful. Yuki lets Komugi's words sink in.
Mayu finishes her embroidery, but notices Yuki, Iroha, and Komugi are missing. Feeling guilty, Mayu is reassured by Satoru that Iroha admires her focus, which surprises Mayu. In Maths class, a Garugaru egg hatches, putting everyone to sleep except Yuki and Komugi. Yuki worries about Mayu, while Komugi prevents Yuki from sleeping. Komugi successfully wakes Iroha up by mentioning activities and being a Pretty Cure, then tries to wake Satoru. Yuki is confused about how Komugi has so much energy, so Iroha explains that Komugi has more energy when she's tired.
Komugi and Iroha transform, but Yuki doesn't want to be part of Wonderful Pretty Cure. Mayu wakes up and gets an idea. Yuki and Mayu transform together and form a team called "Nyanderful Pretty Cure", which surprises Wonderful and Friendy. Lillian is worried that the name didn't work, but Nyammy compliments it.
At the yard, the Garugaru is sleeping peacefully. Satoru reveals that the Garugaru is based on a panda, so the Cures think if they wake up the Garugaru, everyone will wake up. Wonderful jumps up in front of the sun and orders the Garugaru to wake up. This shocks Nyammy and Friendy. Wonderful lands on the ground, prompting Friendy to ask if she's okay. With Lillian and Nyammy, they try to wake up the Garugaru, however, the two Cures realizes that the Garugaru is moving. Another sleep spell is cast, but Nyammy keeps Lillian awake by pinching her cheeks. Nyammy orders Lillian to pinch her as well. Wonderful tries to wake Friendy up as she fell asleep, so Wonderful asks Satoru for help. Satoru thinks about a panda playing with a tire. Nyammy gets an idea and approaches the desperate Wonderful. Nyammy transforms Wonderful into a tire using Help! Kirarin Animal!.
Lillian is very impressed by the Kirarin Fox's power. Wonderful rolls very fast around the Garugaru which wakes it up. This also allows Friendy to wake up. Wonderful plays with the Garugaru. Friendy, Nyammy, and Lillian on the other hand watch the two play together. After a few minutes, the Garugaru is tired, and Wonderful also goes to sleep. After Lillian and Nyammy perform Amity Lumiere, the Cures rescue the Kirarin Panda and return them to Niko Garden.
Back in class, Kiyoshi and the students wake up. Komugi, Iroha, Yuki, and Mayu exchange their embroideries. Mayu made a Komugi embroidery for Iroha, and Iroha made a Yuki embroidery for Mayu. With Komugi and Yuki, Yuki made a butterfly embroidery for Komugi, and Komugi made a snowman embroidery for Yuki. Iroha, Mayu, and Satoru watch Komugi and Yuki interact with each other. Iroha is certain that they'll become closer as friends.
