Together, We're Not Scared (二人ならこわくない Futari Nara Kowakunai)? is the 20th episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure! and is the 988th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Although she agreed to come to Niko Garden, Yuki refuses to help Komugi and the others. She refuses to change her mind even when Mayu asks, but then a new Garugaru appears.

Synopsis
After Mayu has joined the team, Iroha suggests visiting Niko Garden again to let Mey Mey know, but Mayu is nervous. Yuki also doesn't want to go, but Mayu really wants to show her Niko Garden and she feels braver when Yuki's around. After some thought, Yuki agrees to go.
Mey Mey is glad that Mayu's a Pretty Cure and he thanks her for her help. Iroha also introduces Yuki to Mey Mey, and he tries to ask if she'll help protect Niko Garden, but she says that she won't, much to Mey Mey's dismay. She's still only focused on protecting Mayu and doesn't care about the animals, and she runs away.
While everyone is searching for Yuki, she watches some of the Niko Animals playing and starts regretting coming here. Mayu figures that Yuki wouldn't have gotten along with everyone because she isn't used to being around so many people. She had gotten used to being alone before Mayu found her and she would always leave her usual sunbathing spot after customers would arrive at Pretty Holic.
Yuki continues to walk around when she sees the Kirarin Fawn hiding. She tries avoiding them but they suddenly scare her. They then realize that Yuki is Cure Nyammy and thanks her for helping. They also explain to Yuki how scared they felt when they were a Garugaru and how they weren't in control of their actions while in that state even though they didn't want to destroy or harm anything.
Meanwhile, Mayu continues talking about Yuki's aversion of being around too many people and how she feels the same. Komugi assumes the worst and thinks Mayu hates them, but she assures her it's not true and that she's happy they're all friends. Komugi thinks that Yuki might feel the same way deep down, while Iroha is confident they'll get closer to her eventually.
The Kirarin Fawn continues talking about how alone they felt as a Garugaru and Yuki starts thinking of the ones she encountered so far. She goes to ask them if they're alone right now when the other Kirarin Animals appear. It turns out they're playing hide-and-seek, which exasperates Yuki. The Kirarin Bear then recognizes her as Nyammy and they all head to the gazebo for Mey Mey to toast the new Cures.
During the toast, Yuki notices how relaxed Mayu is talking with the Kirarin Animals, and Mayu thinks it's because Yuki came with her. The Kirarin Fawn presents the Cures with some crackers they made and they're nervous about whether or not the Cures would like them. Mayu tries on and enjoys it, while Yuki thinks they aren't bad, which makes the Kirarin Fawn and eases the other's doubts about Yuki.
After returning home, Mayu asks Yuki again if she would join the other Cures, but she doesn't answer. Suddenly, another Garugaru egg hatches and Yuki senses it, but when Mayu asks if it is one, she doesn't do anything. Mayu then goes to find and Yuki attempts to stop her from putting herself in danger. However, despite her fear of being alone, Mayu still wants to the help the Niko Garden's animals. Yuki worriedly watches as Mayu leaves.
Komugi and Iroha find the Garugaru, and Satoru figures out that it's another Kirarin Animal. The Cures transform, but the Garugaru quickly escapes. Then, Mayu joins them and transforms into Cure Lillian to help them find it. She also tells them Yuki still won't join the team yet. As they continue to look, the Cures notice a strange fire truck. When they try to ask any firefighters that are in it, the hose moves on its own and shoots water at them that sends Wonderful and Friendy flying. Satoru notices the truck has a tail and guesses that the Garugaru is a fox that can shapeshift.
Lillian chases after the Garugaru and tries to calm it down, but it keeps getting away. Yuki watches the chase and knew Mayu couldn't do it alone so she transforms into Cure Nyammy to enter the battle. She leads the Garugaru away from some civilians and prepares to fight against it. Then, the Garugaru transforms into a tree and attacks Nyammy and Lillian until it gets tired out. Nyammy finds an opening, but the Garugaru turns back into a fox, and seeing it in its weakened state reminds her of what the Kirarin Fawn told her and stops before she could hurt it.
With Nyammy's guard down, the Garugaru becomes surrounded in dark energy and fires a beam at her. However, Lillian stands in her way and uses Lillian Net to protect her. Nyammy tells Lillian that it's too dangerous, but Lillian's determination eventually allows her to overpower the beam and weaken the Garugaru. Lillian is surprised that she summoned so much power, and she believes it's because Nyammy is with her. Lillian then asks her to save the Garugaru together, and Nyammy gladly accepts.
Then, their Shiny Cats Pacts float out of their pouches and turn into a new item: the Amity Ribbon Tambourine. The other Cures arrive in time to watch it and Friendy assumes it's like their Friendly Tacts. With their new powers, Nyammy and Lillian perform Amity Lumiere to purify the Garugaru, turning it back into the Kirarin Fox. Wonderful and Friendy then send them back to the Niko Garden. Satoru wonder if it's because of Nyammy and Lillian's feelings that their pacts changed. Nyammy then says Lillian didn't do so bad, and Lillian embraces her.
At Iroha's house, Mey Mey is about to give Yuki and Mayu their own Kiraniko Trunk and Yuki agrees to help them under one condition: that Yuki would go to school with Mayu. Mey Mey agrees to it and Mayu is ecstatic that they'll be attending school together now, while Komugi is happy that they'll all be together now.
