Manatsu and Laura! What Is More Important? (まなつとローラ！どっちの大事が一番大事？ Manatsu to Rōra! Docchi no Daiji ga Ichiban Daiji?)? is the 2nd episode of Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure and is the 829th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Manatsu has started attending Aozora Middle School. Laura follows her in search of a new Pretty Cure candidate. However, the students of the school take notice of her!!

Synopsis
It's the first day of school, and Manatsu is excited. While introducing herself to the class, Manatsu meets Suzumura Sango, the same girl she met at Pretty Holic the previous day. They become good friends, and Sango takes Manatsu to Pretty Holic, where Manatsu meets Suzumura Miyuki. When Manatsu comes home, she finds Laura in the bathtub, so she takes Laura to an unused aquarium pool. There, Laura tells Manatsu about Grand Ocean, and that the Mermaid Queen had sent Laura to find the Pretty Cure.
The next day, Manatsu takes Laura to school since Laura is sick and tired of doing nothing all day. On the way to the club orientation, Manatsu drops the Mermaid Aqua Pot, so Laura uses this as an opportunity to find some potential Pretty Cure candidates. However, she is seen by some students and a few minutes later, Manatsu finds her and they argue over what is more important: school or Pretty Cure.
Angry, Laura swims into the city when a Yaraneeda appears. While avoiding the rampaging Yaraneeda, Laura tries to find the right person to become a Pretty Cure, but the Tropical Pact doesn't respond. Just as Chongire's Yaraneeda is about to steal Laura's Motivation Power, Manatsu appears on the scene, declaring she'll do her best to juggle both school and being a Pretty Cure. She transforms into Cure Summer and quickly defeats the monster. When everything is back to normal, Manatsu returns to club orientation where Laura thanks Manatsu for saving her.
