The Nekoyashiki's Cat and Mayu (猫屋敷の猫とまゆ Nekoyashiki no Neko to Mayu)? is the 4th episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure! and is the 972nd episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Iroha and Komugi return to the Niko Garden and see how the power of a Kirarin Animal can restore it. Once back, they hurry to be the first customers on opening day of the new Pretty Holic store.

Synopsis
It's the grand opening of the new Pretty Holic store, and Mayu's cat, Yuki, wakes her up. After Mayu cuddles Yuki, she overhears her mother, Sumire, and greets her. Mayu is worried about how many customers they will get, but Sumire assures her there should be a lot thanks to the flyers Mayu made. After finishing speaking with her mother, Mayu is scared that no one will come and doesn't know if anyone in the new town she moved in would like it. Sensing Mayu's anxiety, Yuki approaches her and she hugs her again, with Yuki's scent calming Mayu down.
Meanwhile, at Kaihan Park, Satoru is gathering information on the Garugarus and figures out that they could be able to find out where to find them. Suddenly, Iroha's Kiraniko Trunk grows bigger and opens up, transporting everyone to Niko Garden again. Once there, the Kirarin Rabbit thanks the Cures for rescuing them, and Iroha and Komugi are glad they're okay. Mey Mey tells the Kirarin Rabbit to return to their Kirarin House, and when they do, its island floats into the sky and its gem shines a bright pink light that restores some of the Niko Garden and repairs the diamond a little. Mey Mey adds that once all nine Kirarin Animals are rescued, the diamond will shine again and Niko will return. He thanks the Cures again, but they leave because Iroha wants to be the first customer at the grand opening of Pretty Holic, upsetting him.
At Pretty Holic, Mayu wonders if they'll have any customers when Iroha and Komugi run towards her. She asks Mayu if she's the first customer, and Mayu confirms that she is. Iroha was intrigued by the cute flyer and began looking forward to the opening. The two introduces themselves to each other when Iroha brings up Mayu's cat, Yuki, and Mayu starts talking about her when Sumire notices Iroha. She invites Iroha into the store, but Komugi is not allowed in for safety reasons, so Iroha tries to leave for a little bit. However, Komugi accidentally speaks, so Iroha tries her best to cover it up before departing.
Iroha scolds Komugi for talking in front of other people, but Komugi complains that she wants to go inside Pretty Holic with her. Iroha then allows Komugi to turn into a human and they both return. Sumire asks where her dog went and Iroha says she's going for a walk. Komugi then introduces herself, confusing Mayu, but Iroha brushes it off as just a coincidence. Once inside, Iroha is loving all the cute products while Komugi instinctively starts smelling everything. Iroha also notices the Pretty Up Lips have a dog on some of the tubes and a cat on the other, which Sumire says was her idea. Iroha buys the one with the dog, but she doesn't know how to apply makeup, so Sumire offers her a free makeover. When more customers come in, Sumire asks Mayu if she could make Iroha over and she reluctantly accepts. Meanwhile, Komugi notices Yuki napping outside and runs back outside to greet her, much to her annoyance.
As Mayu prepares Iroha's makeover, she hopes that she can do it right. Iroha attempts to talk to Mayu during the makeover, but Mayu is too busy concentrating. Meanwhile, Komugi tries talking to Yuki and reveals that she's a dog, while Sumire serves tea to the three older customers. Mayu then finishes the makeover and Iroha compliments how well she did as well as how she didn't talk the entire time. Mayu apologizes for making Iroha think she was ignoring her, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Outside, Komugi continues talking to Yuki and tries to approach her, but she smacks Komugi's face with her paw. However, Komugi likes it and begs her to do it again, which leaves Yuki unamused. Komugi then notices Iroha and Mayu having a conversation and goes back inside to join in. After looking at Iroha's makeover, Komugi decides she wants one too. Mayu offers her some eyeshadow, but she applies it all over her eyes instead of her eyelids. Mayu apologizes for not explaining it better, but Iroha thinks Komugi looks like a tanuki and laughs.
Komugi and Iroha leave, giving Komugi the clear to turn back into a dog. As they begin their walk, Iroha wonders why Mayu is so anxious all the time. Komugi suggests Mayu should go on a walk, which gives Iroha an idea. However, another Garugaru hatches nearby and the two start searching for it. They find a chewed-up guardrail and hear the sound of chewing coming from the forest. They soon find a tanuki Garugaru gnawing on a rock. Iroha notices how small it is while Komugi switches back into her human form so they can both transform. Wonderful sniffs out the Garugaru's trail so they can follow it. Meanwhile, Mayu heads back into her room and starts wondering if she could be friends with Iroha, recalling how lonely she felt at her old school.
The Cures attempt to slow the Garugaru down, but it keeps evading their attempts. Wonderful tries to catch up with it, but Friendy suggests that the Garugaru might just be scared because of the zig-zag pattern it was running in. Wonderful decides that they should convey that they don't want to scare the Garugaru and just want to be its friend. The Cures find it again and slowly crawl towards it to befriend it, but it still runs away. As the Cures chases after the Garugaru, Friendy realizes that it's heading towards the road. The Garugaru leaps into the path of a truck, but Friendy rescues it before it could get run over while Wonderful summons a Puni Puni Barrier to stop the truck. The Cures comfort the Garugaru and purifying it, turning it back into a Niko Tanuki. The Cures then open the Kiraniko Trunk to send it back to the Niko Garden.
Back home, the Cures watch the reunited tanukis in the Niko Garden and Mey Mey thanks them for their work. However, they quickly hang up after remembering the gift they want to deliver to Mayu, which upsets Mey Mey and causes him to call Satoru. At Pretty Holic, Iroha wakes up a sleeping Mayu to give her a walk bag as a present. She welcomes Mayu to Animal Town before leaving, and Mayu starts to wonder if she has finally made a friend.
