Synopsis

Still in summer, Miyuki attends a classroom meeting to find that Nao has been frightened by Yayoi's book of ghost stories. Akane suggests holding a test of courage, exploring scary places in the school.

Meanwhile, in the Bad End Kingdom, Majorina is reading the same book, and she inspires a plan to acquire some Bad End energy. She overhears the girls' plan and uses two Big Red Noses to secretly create Akanbes. Unaware, the girls explore the empty school, searching for legends which Reika has heard from the student council.

The girls stop at the music room, where according to legend, mysterious piano playing is heard at night. Nao and Miyuki are spooked when the piano begins playing itself, but the others don't believe them. Akane doesn't believe in ghosts, and Reika believes it is merely a misapprehension caused by a frightened mental state.

Next they visit a mirror which is said to show reflections of people aren't really there, and suck them through the mirror into another world. They spot a woman's reflection and flee. Yayoi is excited at the possibility of ghosts being rail, and once again, Reika has a rational explanation.

Next, they attend the art room, where it is supposed the pictures on the wall have been seen moving by themselves. One of the pictures is Majorina in her youthful form, and it turns to talk to them. Only Nao recognizes her, since she was the one who fought Majorina in this form, but she doesn't remember right away.

As the head down the hallway they find themselves in an old-fashioned school building. Candy gets spooked and screams, causing Miyuki and Nao to run. Akane tells them to stop, because running in the hallways is forbidden. Nao remembers that the woman in the poster Majorina, and Reika realizes that Majorina must have been creating all the spooky occurrences.

Majorina appears and reverts to her normal form, since her Majorina Time ability has a limited duration. She creates a Bad End Space, drawing Bad Energy from students on the campus for sports training. It turns out that she has already turned the entire school into an Akanbe.

The girls transform and try to leave, but the floor becomes a treadmill. Dozens of tiny school objects have been transformed into mini Blue Nose Akanbe, and chse the Pretty Cure. This tickles the school Akanbe, and as it laughs it opens its mouth, allowing the Cures to escape. The Akanbe tries to fight them, but it's too huge to move, so the Cures they waste no time changing into Princess Form and defeat it. They gain four new Cure Decor and Majorina retreats.

As the girls walk home they talk about, with Reika suggesting that they write about the supermatural for a their school report for their summer homework. The others realize they still haven't finished their summer homework—and the thought of all that homework is a even scarier than ghosts!

Trivia

  • This is the third episode where the Cures are trapped inside an Akanbe. The previous episodes were 14 and 25.
  • This is the third episode to feature the Akanbe eyecatch, and the first to feature the Akanbe eyecatch with the new style of eyecatch.
  • Candy's very own piano is colored red and when she plays it, she casually sings about her brother, Pop.
  • Majorina uses two Big Red Noses to create one huge red nose Super Akanbe and many small blue nose Akanbe. This suggests that one Big Red Nose can create multiple mini blue nose Akanbe, and explains why the Cures recover four Decors after they destroy the Super Akanbe (since the mini Akanbe were inside of it).

Edits in Glitter Force

  • Instead of the girls being in school for a meeting prior to the start of the actual school term, summer break has ended and it is the first day back.
    • The teacher now mentions that there is no homework rather than reminding the class to do their homework.
  • The title of the book Lily (Yayoi) and Brooha (Majorina) are seen holding is changed from True Terrifying Tales from School to A School Full of Ghosts.
    • The shots of them holding the book are also mirrored, as Japanese books are read from right-to-left whereas books written in European languages are read from left-to-right.
  • Miyuki mentioning that she likes youkai in contrast to her disdain of ghosts is altered to Emily saying that she hates ghosts and that there must be a good reason why everyone is terrified of them.
  • The song Candy plays has an actual melody as opposed to just her playing random keys.
  • The reactions of the other girls when asked about their summer projects by Chloe (Reika) are changed.
    • Kelsey (Akane) now says that she still has 15 pages to do rather than that she hasn't even started her English homework, let alone her report.
    • Lily (Yayoi) says that she's only done 3 pages, whereas originally she mentioned that she still had to do her math homework.
    • April (Nao) mentions that she's only written the title as opposed to that she needed to do her history homework first.
    • Emily (Miyuki) realizes she completely forgot about her project altogether compared to having done none of her homework.
