The Greatest Legend! Pleased To Meet You, Big Boss!! (最強伝説！番長登場、ヨロシクです！！ Saikyō Densetsu! Banchō Tōjō, Yoroshiku Desu!!)? is the 18th episode of Heartcatch Pretty Cure! and is the 310th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Tsubomi and Erika befriend the legendary delinquent boss, Ban Kenji, and learn there is a lot more to him then what everyone else thinks.
Major Events
- Tsubomi and Erika visit Ban's house, where Ban and the girls work on his shoujo manga.
Synopsis
Ban Kenji purposely slams the door, causing everyone to laugh until he glares, causing them to grow frantic- with the exception of a clueless Tsubomi. Shocked, Erika informs her that he is a "legendary delinquent", and a scary leader.
Curious to learn more they visit his mother while Ban sneaks past, hiding in a nearby bush until being spotted by Erika. He panics at this and incidentally startles Erika when he makes his usual response and exposes one eye, which frightens the girls and causes them to run away until Tsubomi trips on the stairs. They stop to help her up and Ban reveals that he has been keeping a secret as of late: he makes shoujo manga starring Pretty Cure.
This surprises the girls, and he explains that Cure Blossom plays the role of a love cupid while Marine accidentally fell in love with him. But he hasn't finished the manga yet, and curious to learn more the girls offer to lend him a hand in any way possible.
At his house, Kenji tutors the girls how to draw the manga, but his mother and Kurumi Sakura arrive to the house and out of concern they hide the drawings and swap them for their studying materials.
The mothers pay them a visit to see what is going on when Sakura opens the curtains and happens to spy the drawings. He confesses to his mother that he enjoys drawing manga, then runs off, feeling as though she won't be accepting of it.
Kumojaki spies on this display and decides to take a peek at the manga until worriedly sees Pretty Cure within it. Sensing Ban's weakness, he steals his Heart Flower. He changes him into an ink Desertrian and Pretty Cure comes to his rescue, using Floral Power Fortissimo to purify him and return him to normal.
Afterwards, Ban decides to confess his feelings to his mother. His dream is to be a Manga Artist and he will continue to chase after it.

Hanakotoba
Ban's Heart Flower is a pink variety of cornus florida, also called flowering dogwood. In the language of flowers, it means "to receive my feelings". It reflects Ban-kun's wish to express his desire to become a manga artist.
Trivia
- A running theme in Heartcatch Pretty Cure! is that caring for flowers is a sign of a kind heart. Tsubomi is able to use this trait to understand that Ban is a kind person, despite his intimidating aura.
- Kumojaki makes a brief appearance at the library, but the girls and Ban do not spot him.
